Part of me thinks Mario is getting outbid but more importantly, negatively recruited to the max. Sell kids on look, he **** the bed with an all time great QB for the school. Next years FSU, etc. I could be wrong but I don’t just buy it’s purely money. Blood is in the water rn and sharks are circling.

also guidry clearly cant recruit. He cant get along with his assistants, you think kids want to play for him?

Optics… cam was not a 1st round pick last year. Marios team he surrounded him with and Dawsons air raid scheme elevated him putting more money In his pocket.

If anything it shows Mario is going to have talent here and will surrounded you with ballers. Yes the DC was *** but it’s obvious we will make a move and get someone to right the ship. I agree negative recruiting is killing us with nix but this ****ting the bed for Mario is way overboard

we have to get kids into the NFl on defense too. I said weeks ago, this would hurt with recruits. they are seeing Jaden Harris and some of these guys get destroyed and your top 5 recruits cant see the field. smh

I’m not saying Mario had an unsuccessful season this year. We won 10 games, and we will know tonight our CFP fate. This seems a lot more real or sustainable, if you will, than 2017.

I’m more stating that if a school like UF walks in with A. More money, B. A “better” finish, C. QB of the future on the roster, you can negative recruit better than say a month ago.

the second to last column is sacks ... he was sacked 16 less times this year due to improved line play, which in return led to more yards and tds

i think our line play got better as the year progressed ... lyle showed elite traits ... he and fletcher make a nice tandem ...

defensively, you got good snaps for moten jr., oj, popo, pruit ... scott got his feet wet ... really like where we are at cb

defensively, we were absolutely atrocious. and you like where we are at with cb? based on what?

I don't doubt it. I'm not saying Mario lost his ability to recruit overnight, just I can see more to this than just money. Plus I'd imagine selling these kids on Guidry not being there/the unknown of a new DC, is not helping either, whether these kids like him or not. The unknown factor is not helping at all.

yes, mc saw an issue with game day management and hired someone to improve the area ... good call on mc

i pointed out the differences in regard to cam ... he was the big reason we improved, but it's dishonest to not recognize he had ALL DAY to pass at certain times due to line play ... he also had a high round draft pick at TE ... there will be offense after cam, will it be as exciting, probably not next year, but the pieces that were critical to his success in terms of line play are still there ... also, mc was the lead recruiter on cam ... i'm sure he's gonna go and find the next guy and this time he has results to back him up

defense was atrocious ... that doesn't mean there weren't any bright spots ... oj is one, damari is another (florida game was enough for me to see the physicality and size) ... liked popo, rj had some good moments ... cam pruit out there making plays ... as a whole we stunk ... but there are pieces, especially if coached up and held accountable ... forgot the flash we saw from booker pickett ...
