Twitched up pass rushers with length are always welcomed, especially the ones coveted by Michigan and Pitt.

Really, really, really need to do something about the interior. Edges are great, but if we are marshmallow up the middle it won’t really matter.

It'll force us to play guys inside that shouldn't be playing (aren't ready) or should/want to be playing outside (like Bain) who are good enough to do either but probably a lot more valuable outside long term. Hurts long term development.

Bain could end up being Aaron Donald or at least Calijah Kancey in the middle, just saying…I could see his development taking that twist.

I could also see him being a Dumerville (although bigger already) type outside. Just saying, I don't think projecting him inside is a force or something that couldn't happen naturally.

Booker Pickett is a similar type of prospect, any thoughts on who you'd rather sign? While Rudolph isn't that mega-whale prospect, if you look at the EDGE rankings basically the overwhelming majority of the list is off the board, so it's still great to secure a legit talent at a premium position. Whatever NIL money you saved by not getting Simmons or Stewart, allocate all of it to a DT. Lightfoot, Artavius, Rudolph and one of the elite DT's and you have a terrific DL class.

Reminds me of the Cyrus Moss take on the edge. Lot of bend and twitch, but probably won't be physically ready in Year 1 (which is absolutely fine, considering Lightfoot is a dude and the early returns on Bain and Wayne are the absolute truth. Plus Kelly is a dude and Moss has flashed potential). Get Rudolph in this class and have him put on some weight to hold up at the point of attack.

Is he Stewart or Simmons? No but doesn't mean he's bad. It's a start in the right direction, he's a solid edge prospect and we should be perfectly happy. Let's close this baby up.
Hopefully he can gain weight a little quicker. Curious if Moss will stick around long enough to gain the weight needed to really contribute. Liked his potential coming in

about 2 inches and 25-30 lbs difference though, right?
Yeah it seems Rudolph has the bigger frame, but the sites are inconsistent with their listed measurables. One has Pickett at 6-3 205, Rudolph at 6-4 205. Another has Pickett at 6-2 185 and Rudolph at 6-3 200. Rivals has Pickett at 6-4 206 and Elias at 6-4 210. So Rudolph is bigger across all the sites and just going off images, does seem to have a tad bigger frame.

Pickett isn't a name that's been mentioned a bunch, his overall recruitment seems to be pretty quiet. Maybe he's viewed too much as a tweener? That one 6-2 185 measurement is kind of concerning, the only time I recall an EDGE that small was Ryan Shazier.

100% agree. Just want to be able to choose based on his strengths/how he develops and not force him to be inside because of lack of depth.

Miami has him rated as high as any edge in this class TFIW

Agreed on both points. This kid needs to add good weight, but you can't teach twitch.

But we gotta sign some 6'5", 330 pound monsters in the middle. Georgia gets three and four-star kids that size every class. Wen eed to add beef in the middle.
