Ahead of Lightfoot?
Real high. They LOVE lightfoot.. But outside of Dylan Stewart idk if they had anyone ahead of him when it comes to DE. You can of course disagree with that but its their internal evals. I do think they have Simmons/ Lightfoot and Rudolph in that "whale" tier.

To make it even easier: That's a 5 star talent in the staff's eyes just like lightfoot is.

There it is.. Disagree with the staff if u want and that's fine.
You are disagreeing with Jason Taylor and Highsmith though . Thats cool as well they are not God. But what I do know is that I trust those two's evals wayyy more than these services. Rudolph has never been. plan C kid. Hes been Plan A from day 1. Would have taken him if Simmons and Stewart and lightfoot jumped on board. They think he's HIM

Rudolph was always a take. They had no hard cap on DL guys this year. I am surprised they flipped him if they did but watch his film, hes an athlete and plays hard.

So did he go back to Ohio to play his senior year or is he back in south Florida. What alerted all these flips. Interesting situation the kid just committed to Michigan not too long ago.

Did Harbaugh tell him to stop visiting Miami or he is out of their class?

I’m not saying I agree 🐐… just what I’ve been told by the people who know 🤣
I got you.

But you can understand the skepticism regarding him being better than the #1 DE in America (or even on the same tier), especially three days after said #1 DE in the country had Miami believing for a couple hours that there was a shot to land him. It just seems like more propaganda pushed by the staff surrounding the timing of everything.

And to be clear, I'm in the camp that thinks he's a very good prospect.

Are they disagreeing with the staff, or simply questioning whether this has always been the staffs' opinion (or just marketing) in light of the timing of this revelation? Is there a post more recent than this week where anyone said the staff had Rudolph higher on their board than Simmons?

Twitched up pass rushers with length are always welcomed, especially the ones coveted by Michigan and Pitt.

Really, really, really need to do something about the interior. Edges are great, but if we are marshmallow up the middle it won’t really matter.

Agree 100% and I hate relying on this, but I feel like DT is one of those positions where there will be players from smaller schools in the portal who want to make a jump. Fiske at FSU, Deen here just 2 examples. Again, we don’t want to have to rely on this. But to me this is a position where you can grow into a productive player although you were underrecruited in HS. Kid puts on 50 pounds in 2-3 years and goes from a 3-star recruit to a P5 starter. I have zero data handy to back it up, just seems it happens more at the interior line spots than anywhere else.

That being said, recruit some war daddy DTs, please.

Could be of course. Also this is not something they believed like yesterday and were expressing it as damage control. They've BEEN believing this. Just like they viewed Bain as the top DL last year regardless ofwhat the services said.

Simmons is a LEGIT 5 star whale. He is also a Texas recruit . Those recruits will ALWAYS get better ratings because the services KNOW that's where the cash cow subscribers are.

For Miami based on their own evals Rudolph is a 5 star whale.

If somehow they land Breland and Keep Jones.... That DT class with Jones Breland and DE class with lightfoot rudolph will easily be a top 5 DL class in the nation.

I dont think so... I will say that in June the major DE targets seemed to be Stewart-Lightfoot and Rudolph.

Simmons was as well but was looked more like an LSU lean.

Maybe that's why it wasnt talked about as much. I can say staff went balls out for Rudolph even till the last second of his Michigan commitment and didnt shift or stopped recruiting him even when Simmons smoke became serious.

He's listed at 205 but I don't think he's over 200 to be honest - which is fine because he's a senior right now. I'd guess somewhere between 193 and 200. Can put on weight this year and the next - has the frame for it most definitely. He just needs to thicken up a tad. You can't teach his twitch + 6'4'' frame.
That’s just so **** light. I know the Brian Burns of the world exist but it’s just tough to make a consistent impact at the collegiate level weighing 200-210 pounds
