If you are an investor/analyst of a private company and they gave you a tour of everything and went into detail breaking everything down for you that may have been unknown publicly, or considered a valuable secret that they just don't want to share YET, but gave you full access just saying don't share x, y, and z publicly, would that be a problem? Now I can see from a strictly journalistic point of view how that would be not so great. But if it is strictly a timing thing, Idk, because like look at all the youtubers doing phone reviews who have embargos on talking about the product (that they were given to test weeks/months ahead of time) until the company wants them to... that doesn't seem TOO bad...
I view it pretty similar. It would be entirely different if D$ was spreading misinformation though. And he has to be careful that the info he is sharing is actually true and not just some spin the staff is trying to spread, because that would lead to lack of trust which would be very detrimental to this site. But if through that access he gets more information about everything that he has higher confidence and trust in, I don't see how that is bad that it just comes with a caveat that he can't explicitly share some things that they want private for a certain amount of time.
Idk maybe
@DMoney needs to start recording more predictions/info he's given with timestamps privately (and without edit), and then sharing it all at a later point/by end of season so that we can fully evaluate how beneficial all this is. But ultimately its not like him limiting what he shares is actually a negative in total coverage, because he COULD share basically nothing if he chose. Instead we are getting some info, and info that other sources aren't sharing. D$ being limited to the same access of the other mainstream reporters wouldn't be beneficial. So I think this is better at least. It'd be better if it was at least a little more open for sure.
Also I think as you get more successful as a program, Mario just needs to stop trying to keep everything in the vault. Like if you are truly a national title contender, you shouldn't be worrying about other teams having basic info about you - it's kinda weak. Now Maybe because this is a season where we expect a major leap AND have a road rivalry game week 1, it kinda makes him more secretive, but You wouldn't want this to be the default...
