I feel your frustration my friend. I also expected to be inside to top 10 by the end of July. With that being said I think for Miami this year we will get some flips as the season goes on. I believe in my heart of hearts we win 8+ ( I predicted 9 wins) and when we do that will get us close to last years class. A lot of these too dudes are in wait and see mode with Miami. If we win they will come. Justly or unjustly that's how it will be with this program even if the rules dont quite apply to other programs.

This will be Cristobal's biggest season and he knows that. We stay healthy we will get the desired results. He will recruit the crap out of his targets during the season when a lot of college coaches put recruiting in the back burner. I think we will be in that 7-9 range when all it's said and done.
I was thinking about win totals today. I don’t think 7 or even 8 wins moves the needle on anyone significant flip wise. Even 8 wins is likely losing to Tamu, Clemson, UNC and FSU. I don’t see how beating Duke or even Louisville sways many meaningful kids (who are mostly committed to big time programs). I also think that the ACC is really starting to become a way to negatively recruit against basically every school but Clemson. I think 9 wins is needed this year.

10 wins is needed. At minimum.

See why isn’t crazy homerism like this called trolling
He can’t be serious

Franklin will be a miss
Breyland will be a miss
A jones we’ll have to sweat out fsu till the end
Stack that with the massive 2 player haul the last two years and we’re cooking
probably cause youre calling guys uncommitted on August 1st a miss.

10 wins???? At minimum?????
200 (1).gif

Your kid comes home with a mid-quarter progress report that's all Cs and Ds. Do you chew his/her *** out a bit and implement some consequences, or sit on your hands quietly until the final report card comes (because who knows, he/she might still end up with straight As)?
Terrible analogy lol

Got to beat sec schools, clemson has proved thru yearssss they can do that.. in past decade they beat lsu, aub, uga, bama, own usc by large margin, etc..

Sooo we can start by winning that home game in sept and 9 games off perceived weak conference that we have more talent than everybody except maybe 2-3 teams every year

There are a lot of coaches and will take a lot of time to go through them all.

As an aside, [BGCOLOR=initial] I think it's interesting that after UGA fired Richt, they could have hired any coach in the country at the highest salary. They instead went with a relatively inexpensive coordinator. Smart was a top coordinator and had a reputation as an excellent recruiter at Bama. And he's got 2 rings in 6 years where Richt (who is basically a much better version of Cristobal) couldn't break through in 15+ years. Would be interested to see the thought process behind UGAs hire. Maybe we can learn something for the next time around. [/BGCOLOR]
It's hysterical your assessment of Kirby... There's a reason he's won & it's called they spend with the best of them opposed to Richt didn't believe in that and was at odds with boosters over the issue the one time they did get payments out that he found out about. Virtually all head coaches are only as good as the staff they surround themselves with when it comes to talent development & game day coaching. That's what Kirby has done right. Past that he's a clueless moron. But I get it. He wins so clearly he's amazing. So was Trent dilfer. They went with Kirby by the way because they knew his network available to him and that they could essentially do whatever they wanted under him.

Welllllllll….. not going to use those naughty types of words but there is this one fella on here who lingers around waiting for us to land any players so that he can spring out of a refrigerator like Cato ambushing Inspector Clouseau in those old Pink Panther movies with Peter Sellers and make us regret that we ever questioned anything ever ever ever. It’s very scary for some of us who just want to express our concerns.

SC loaded up in state last year with some really good players. Freeling was the only one really that left
They did because like i said Clemson doesnt even prioritize those guys like that anymore. Look how we almost grabbed that DT thatw as a beast but he ultimately went to SC.

lol He played at UGA brah...and knew everything from their rivals in the west. He's a GA Boy that the bag men in ga would throw money behind. Basically Mario Cristobal but a guy that can actually coach a unit...and is more ruthless/slimy.

*Update i see @Brooklyndee said what i said but in a different way lol
