Duke & Gus Edwards VS Reggie Bush & LenDale White

Reggie bush is the best player I have ever seen in my lifetime at the collegiate level. Duke is the man and could definitely compare if he stays healthy but he needs to do what he did this year in 2013 and take us to the acccg first.

Except Duke is better at almost everything in Football.

He is the best college player you've seen in your lifetime, but he often got taken out in short yardage situations?

Come the **** on.

If you want, you can substitute "flashy" for "best."

Duke is gonna be special, and I agree Bush wasnt as good as say A Peterson, but he is definetely on a short list of the best CFB players of the last 20 years. It is just way too early to compare the two on any level, and then even crazier to compare a TD machine like White to a player that hasnt even touched the field yet.

Folks shortin Bush and comparing Gus Edwards to Lendale freaking White at this point in their careers is laughable. Lendale White scored TWENTY SIX TOUCHDOWNS in his Junior Year, averaged 5.8 ypc for his career, and OVER SIX YARDS in his Junior Year. Dude was a monster.

I'm gonna go with Herschel Walker and Bo Jackson. Reggie Bush was good but not great his whole collegiate career and he was also taken out a lot in short yardage situations. But you did say your lifetime so whatever.

He already took us to the ACCCG. We just self imposed.

Would you not replace Reggie Bush with Lendale White in short yardage situations? Seems like a no brainer and easy problem to have. Doesnt make what Reggie did at USC any less spectacular. He changed games and was pretty unstoppable. No how bad the Pac 10 was at the time probably doesnt help my case but I still stand by what I said.

I hear that. I am 28 so during my adult and more fanatical College Football days he is the best I have seen. Once again JMO

Let's see if our OL can play like their OL did.

You may have 3-4 draft picks on this Miami line (2013 and 2014).

Before last season (and years previous) we've heard how talented or strong our OL is going to be. But i can't recall the last UM team that could consistently get a push in short yardage and goalline situations. I believe Fisch pulled all those ridiculous gimmick plays in short yardage situations, bc he rightfully believed our OL could not get it done, even against less than top 30 teams. every year i'm hopeful they'll get this systemic problem turned around, but i won't believe until there are actual results on the field.

:ohlord:

Come at me bro. Who you got?

Honestly, bro, it's such a dumb question I don't even know where to start. You're just wrong here. So obviously wrong it's kinda ridiculous to actually bother responding.

Just in the years since Reggie Bush: Luck and Griffin were better. Cam Newton was better. Vince Young was better. Tim Tebow was better. Adrian Peterson was better, but his college career was marred by injury so I'll give you a half-pass there. I personally think Percy Harvin was just as good, but that's debatable.

Going back just a few more years:

RBs who were better in college: Ladanian Tomlinson, McGahee, Ricky Williams, Edge, Warrick Dunn.

WRs: Calvin Johnson. Larry Fitzgerald.

QBs: Michael Vick.

Now that's just offensive players. If we add in defensive players, I'd say that at least Suh, Kuechly, Morgan and ST were better. Arguably Charles Woodson and Patrick Peterson too.

Now I don't know how old you are, but over the years, there have been many, many better college players. If you're old enough to have seen Barry Sanders and you're still porsting what you porsted, then you should just quit watching football altogether.

duke is not as explosive as Bush and i don't know anything about this Edwards guy.

with that said, probably every fan of a team in major college football think they have the next so and so.

Duke's first year was more explosive than Bush's first or second year. Not sure where you get that at all.

And if Duke were on that USC team, forget it.

Hear me now, Duke Johnson is flat out better than Reggie Bush. Period. EOS.
