I believe that this has some serious potential for a being an argument in two years. This is the type of talent Al Golden is stock piling. Hopefully that the combo at the U doesn't have the off field issues that Bush and White had.

White and Bush put up gaudy #s at USC... lets wait until we see Gus at least touch the field before making comparisons like this

Holy **** is this a joke? Do people not remember how insane those two were together? My goodness lets pump the brakes.

This is one of the dumber threads in awhile.

Dammit I love Duke but he is nowhere near Reggie Bush's level at USC. And Lendale was an absolute beast in his own right and a TD machine.

Comparing them is just stupid. You're comparing someone who hasn't even set foot on campus and never done a thing to the Pac10 alltime TD leader in Lendale White. Just foolish.

Moron.

This is definitely only something that could be discussed way down the road. Gus has never played a down of college ball and Duke is only entering his sophomore season. However for those who want to argue Duke is nowhere near Reggie Bush, if you look at the stats at the same point of their career, Duke is well ahead. Reggie set a USC freshman record for all purpose yards with 1,331 and had 521 rushing yards. Duke had 2,060 all purpose yards this year and 947 rushing yards. I am not sure Duke will put together one single season as amazing as Bush's junior season, but I will say Duke will have an equal if not better collegiate career than Reggie.

Winning the heisman would be necessary at the very least

Good work here. Before posting make sure people know the stats or they will look foolish!
