So, just to be clear.....

I want him to play for UM. Hypothetically Barrow could challenge the NCAA and SEC transfer rules in court. Based on what has happened the last few months, he would win swiftly and easily. The NCAA has lost every other lawsuit on this issue. They were called a "cartel" by a Supreme Court Justice. Treating student athletes and students differently is no longer working according to the court system until collective bargaining happens. Bookmark the thread. You'll see.
So basically anyone can leave for any reason at any time and the ncaa will lose in court?

You do realize that almost every talented player on most p4 teams are being tampered with.
If what you’re saying is true then dudes are gonna be bouncing around a lot before fall starts.

I know this. But it doesn’t say transfer whenever you want.
It says no transfer limit. But it doesn’t say that the transfer rules or restrictions to when are not valid.
In other words, just cause there is no limit, it doesn’t mean a dude can just transfer in the middle of the season, or after the portal window closes, or after he’s enrolled.

My point is, that slowly every transfer rule is being challenged in court and the NCAA is losing. If challenged, they will continue to lose, in my opinion. Believe whatever.

LOL. anger management idiot from bama proved it doesn't matter and it's a myth w that line Mario uses. just bring in talent to win and deal with it later. winning is the only culture

When are we going to stop it with this FAKE MYTH? And this is not just directed to you, there are a lot of other guys who yap about this nonstop.

All of the great Miami teams ALWAYS had a few trouble-makers. ALWAYS.

Having a good culture is NOT about having 85 altar boys. It's about having a mix that is strong enough to allow the leaders (like Russell Maryland) to be able to guide and control the trouble-makers, without letting the inmates run the asylum.

The next person who brings up "waaaah, waaaah, taking the kid from Alabama proves that Mario is a liar about establishing culture" can take a ******* throat-punch. As is consistent with the longtime (though intermittent) Miami culture, once the kid became a big problem and burned his second chance, he was removed from the team. THOSE types of actions ALSO build culture.

I swear, it's bizarre to see the tattletale behavior among certain posters. "I'm gonna run to the board and tell everyone how the recruitment of this player just proves that Mario Cristobal is a fraud and a hypocrite..."

Are you ******* kidding me?

I hear you but the rules are so convoluted now. But this wouldn’t even be consideration if it were that cut and dry and there wasn’t some grey area loophole that could be leveraged.

That's one possible argument. Another is that the player is just ******* clueless on the rules. And given the reconsideration, the latter seems more likely.

The ones that do this are the ones that have never led people before in their life.

Whether it’s work or playing sports you can easily figure out on here who those people are.

Nil to cover for tuition and boarding is no where near what the number corner would be getting in today’s market. But if he pans out, uf is getting a steal. And if it is, that’s great.
But thats at least 50k that would be going into cormani’s pocket that now is going to bursars office.

What no one seems to be asking is… who’s paying?
Because if you expect cormani or his mom to be saving that walk on nil money to pay for tuition……. Good luck with that.

The cormani drama isn’t over. And it boggles my mind that with all the bad press the gators have gotten and will continue to get due to the Rashada case, they actually brought in a kid who has more baggage than samsonite.

Exactly.

People are thinking that these kids are THRILLED to get just enough NIL to cover tuition/room/board. Bull****. They also want to POCKET some income.

Yes, there are some odd situations where a guy is out of options, and so "tuition-only" is acceptable.

This is Barrow's last chance to make money in college, and he's quibbling over $50K. And then we have posters who think he's just gonna bounce to Mizzou over a "tuition only" NIL.

Hilarious.

Exactly. You can transfer every single semester for 10 semesters in a row. Legal.

But you can't transfer 10 times in the same year and still be eligible to play and receive a scholarship. Not legal.

He would’ve had to actively do things to lose his residency in Florida. And honestly you gotta be dumb to do those things. Get a new drivers license, re register your car, or anything like that. Especially when you consider he’d change from a state like Florida to Colorado. There are only negatives to that. His mom can also file him as a dependent on her taxes.
Yep, going to college in another state doesn't automatically qualify a student for in-state tuition, nor does it disqualify a student from in-state tuition from their home state fi they return. As NC stated, you'd have to do things like get a new DL, register to vote in that state, etc,..

I can’t wait for the OU Texas game where OU takes a 2 TD lead, and then a Longhorn booster offers the OU QB ten million to transfer to Texas at halftime. And he does.

Tarpon don’t have teeth. The inside of their mouth is gritty like sandpaper but there’s no teeth there.
Last year, I was down in the Keys with my family feeding these a$$holes. So the kids could feel it was safe, I was giving a sorta tutorial. And, one particular fish snuck from under the dock to catch me by surprise. He rubbed his little sandpaper grill on my thumb. You’re right: no teeth. But, I bled nonetheless. Great tutorial.
