Donna Dangles: We Skate

“For an organization with an oversight function like the NCAA, its credibility and reputation for fair-dealing are always more important than its ability to prove the allegations in any particular case. "

I think thats big right there guys. Don't overlook that statement by the attorney. Hopefully they realize that its more important for them to keep a good reputation and credibility than to **** us up our ********. That is all.

sounds like a lot of "evidence" is being thrown out..

@Manny_Navarro
The Enforcement Staff determined that any statements made by Sean Allen in his voluntary interviews with the NCAA would be excluded. #UM

@Manny_Navarro
The Enforcement Staff determined 13 witness interviews they conducted after the Allen deposition would also be excluded completely. #UM

@Manny_Navarro
Other portions of 12 interviews following Allen's deposition are also being tossed #NCAA says

I don't see what everyone is so upset about. It seems like they are tossing a lot of stuff and a couple of people got fired. What's the issue?

Read the report and in my opinion, NCAA is F'ed up! Much of the testimony, if not all, the ****** Perez offered up for money will be thrown out!

How does firing her change the facts?

She was still in charge of the NCAA investigators. Essentially, NCAA found the problem and "fixed" it.

In other words, "we're still legit," says the NCAA . . .

. . . but they still fcked the investigation, so we skate.

They'll continue before the COI, but it won't amount to much more than what has already been handed out.

And everyone has to consider, we've served 2 bowls, lost practices, and lost official visits and in-home visits, as well as scholarships. There's not much more they could possibly tack on at this point. Maybe increase the scholarships, and that would be absurd given that they are throwing out a good deal of evidence.

I don't know why anyone is angry. This is WONDERFUL. You have to understand they still have to go thru the motions because that is the actual process. Other schools would be up in arms if they didn't do that. But make no mistake this is a dog and pony show going forward. There will still be a NOA and a COI hearing but it's pretty much worked out behind the scenes. It's going thru the motions at this point.

@BryanDFischer: The kicker in all of this: An NCAA investigator purchased a burner phone to communicate with Nevin Shaprio in prison.

Wow.

Wow.

Wonder why the NCAA didnt put that in the teleconference. LMAO. Donna and her lawyers will love this tidbit

the entire thing shouldve been dropped. IF they try to give us anything more in terms of punishment we should file the biggest lawsuit they have ever seen and have USC, PSU join in.

This is as good as we could have realistically expected. We were never going to get a blanket ok guys you skate! But they are tossing not only the depositions but all the follow up interviews that came from them. Everything from Pee Wee is gone. Everything from that agent Hguye or whatever his name is is gone. So we basically have what the guys on the team who were suspended told them, plus Tyrone Moss and Kyle Wright. We will go forward but should be fine. At least now we can end this thing.

Why do I think that there is more to this mess than will be revealed today, that the NCAA will settle something with UM and that this baby will go away?

Would love to hear Dapper's thoughts on this presser.

if they drop this altogether on us then PSU and USC want theirs dropped too. I would think we'll see some "sanctions."
