Donna Dangles: We Skate

So Basically Julie Row Lach just took the fall for the NCAA... (not saying it wasn't merited)

JC

Yup...that's pretty much it. She was the problem...not the corrupt organization. Nothing to see here, we've dealt with the issue as an upstanding organization should. Commence with forced anal entry.

We're still going to get murdered. Someone had to take the bullet and she was it.

who wants to bet Charles Robinson's name comes up in the report as having provided info to the NCAA? Bet the dude turned over his notes to help justify his hatchet job.

"VP of Enforcement Julie Roe Lach has been let go by the NCAA. While her actions are regrettable and not in-line with NCAA enforcement protocol, we believe this was an acute instance and does not reflect the Association as a whole. Therefor, we will move forward with the investigation into The University of Miami and have informed their athletic department to 'Prepare Thy ****'. We applaud their cooperation and support, but in the end we hate their guts and want to destroy them. We're sorry that our agenda and corruption had to be made public, but we do what the **** we want. Have a wonderful day" Emmert. Out.

Hilarious ..... nervous as **** ... but had a good laugh

Some upper middle management hack falls on the sword, the law firm they paid to say everything was on the up and up does just that and they try to move forward as if nothing happened. Then the lawsuits start flying

I doubt his name comes up in the report, but I'm with you that he probably played an active
role in the NCAA investigation.
Good point.

they definitely fired her because word got out that she had approved the payments to Perez. She had to go down to appease public opinion due to the multiple reports of her wrongdoing. It will be very interesting to see if they decide to claim that it was an isolated incident and that only she was in the wrong. I do not think that she would have been removed if it wasn't for CBSSports breaking the story.

i believe that would make her the 3rd notable name involved in our case to be canned by the ncaa. hard to justify "isolated" at this point.

true but I am sure they could claim Abigail Grantstein was fired due to her conduct in the UCLA case. I am not putting anything past an organization that makes and plays by its own rules. When they first announced they were investigating themselves on the 23rd of Jan, Emmert said bills for an outside attorney showed up on the expense list which was highly unusual. He also said that the person who hired the lawyer was no longer working with the NCAA so it would be hard to get information from them on the matter. Kinda odd that the report came out a little later saying it was Lach and then her firing was announced today. I am definitely hoping whatever is announced today will allow us to wrap this **** thing up. However, with the NCAA I am not going to get my hopes up
