Teams are making jumps from 4-6 win season to 10+ win seasons but Miami can't? I don't believe that.
Never said they can't or won't. But like I said, that's a far step removed from putting Golden on the hot seat if they don't, given the many factors in play.

I have a feeling by the end of the year, people will be more concerned with how light we scheduled than with how many losses we have. We could run the table and take a back seat to a 1 loss team. Florida is not going to look like a quality win when they put up 5 losses like they will this season.
Man, I don't want to hear about the NCAA and off the field issues. That **** doesn't matter between the white lines. We have more talent than every team we play this year except UF and FSU. And if we have **** depth on the DL at this point it's on Golden and his staff. We've been able to get quality players everywhere but there. The NCAA isn't affecting our WR, LB, CB, or Safety recruiting but it's the soul cause for our ****ty DT recruiting? Naw.
It shouldn't be too much to ask that we beat teams that we have more talent than. If we lose to a UVA, or a GT this year then our coaching staff failed. If all our sophomores next year are making the same mistakes they made on defense last year, then our coaching staff failed. Period.
It's not too much to expect our players to improve physically and mentally, it's not asking too much to beat a team we shouldn't, and it's definitely not too much to ask to beat teams that we're better than.
I think 10-2 regular season is what I feel we should do. Of course 1 injury to Morris and that all changes.
Think we will have our best year since 03 and will continue to build until we are a top 3 program again, competing for NC every year.
I would be ok with 10-2 assuming Golden gets a marquee victory. If we lose to both UF and FSU then that means we missed an opportunity to put this team on the map. The man still has not had a marquee victory in his CAREER, not just while at Miami. On top of that he has had more than a few let down games while here. Again, I like the guy, I think he does more things right than wrong, but the only thing keeping him down is game day coaching. He's still a young coach and needs a marquee win.
