No doubt but we hired Mario to recruit our way out of a hole.. if we needed to win to recruit better then why didn’t we just hire Lane?

Mario isn’t quite the recruiter we thought he was or our NIL can’t compete for the caliber players we are recruiting

Some of you can only handle single factor analysis, if we do not land an elite recruit, local or national, it's money, it's bags. No one is saying that isn't happening, but that's not the only reason kids aren't choosing UM. That might be the only reason they choose another school, but that's not our biggest issue.

The biggest issue is we've done absolutely nothing during these kids' lifetimes. The vast majority of the talented kids who have signed here have spent 3 or 4 years losing about half their games, and then had to go slug it out at the combine or workouts to get drafted at all. We did nothing last year to show we were in at least better hands, in fact we fired most of our staff.

Mario is a good enough recruiter to talk his way into the room, but he has to win some games here, too, he isn't a miracle worker.... and I say all this as the person who has been dreading this hire since he got the HC job at FIU.

Interesting. I can argue no! Because the guys we are after, stone, OK, Breeland cali Simmons TX have no connection to the program. And Mario was right in the mix. We just need more dudes. 8-4 and I bet we can flip some kids in state. The issue with this board is the narrative we don’t have the NIL money we had last year. Like it or not Kiffin is correct. NIL is the choice for most kids. I’ve seen some say we have money. I’ve seen people say Ruiz Is why we don’t have what we had. I don’t know what to think.

Side note. Norvell didn’t become a genius over night. Money wins. Guess we will see if we have money or not on signing day

Wasn’t disagreeing really. Just saying people’s perception on what an Elite haul is is clearly very off. Sure if you compare every class to that one A&M haul where they got like 5 5star, nothing looks good…

Because Lane doesn’t recruit even when he wins. In fact, he’s so bad that his QB room would be absolute dog **** if Lincoln just so happened to have not been hired by USC and that’s supposed to be his calling card.

Lane Kiffin Bat Signal or better yet text him 911 .

Buyout Mario like all the rest $ 20-30 million , buyout Kiffin $30 million or so pay him another 5 year $15 million a year here then fire him in 2 years continue to pay him while he coaches another team .

Geee wiz , we’ll make everyone rich every coach wants a Miami HC get rich quick deal here .

If he won at UM it would recruit itself with the amount of athletes down here that would be begging to play in his system.. Jeremiah smith would be a lock.

Norvell and Napier. There’s a Money element going on that’s out of a coach’s hands and making differences. These two didn’t all of a sudden have lightbulbs turn on and become recruiting gods.
