2025 DJ Pickett 5* CB from Zephyrhills Commits to LSU

The Truthteller guy that goes on Donno’s show flipped his pick from Oregon to Miami after checking on it. He was pretty adamant that it was Oregon, but he came back on the next pod to say he was wrong about Oregon.

Does this guy have any real connections?

Bruce Warner knows a ton of the alumni and people close to the program. I don't think he knows the recruits much at all. Pickett is a special case, though, since he is a legacy and Warner knows a lot of guys from the 90s when Booker Pickett Senior, DJ's uncle, played. So it's possible Warner is hearing it from either side.

I do think that when Warner said "there's no one that's been telling me things" then outright chuckled at himself, that sounds more like family than program. Just total speculation on my part.

Bro I’m not just talking. Being a dog as a player and willing to be the program changer are two different things.
This is u just being salty that he didn’t come here cause u think jojo and quan are more of program changers than him cause they did?lol….its ok bro.

We will see with Oregon. What they got out of Nix was beyond what anyone expected.

Can they do the same again with another transfer this year?

Lanning isn’t staying long if he keeps winning. He will come back to the $EC.
Agreed however I think Lanning has NFL potential but for right now the $EC is his likely destination in 1-3 years.

You're not remembering correctly. We were offering him slightly less than OSU initially. When OSU saw he was coming to us they SUBSTANTIALLY upped their offer. Like not even close to what we offered at the last minute.
Cam Ward was in limbo. He ain't? That kids a cane.

He also came back on Donno's show next day to make this clarification. He was pretty adamant prior it was Oregon and main reason DJ never grew up a canes fan.

Not sure if someone got in his ear to make him come back on show the following day to say something. I also recall the laugh which was kind of odd.

He knows the recruits. He goes to all the events and speaks with kids face to face.

So how does Oregon navigate their current players’ NIL demands? Pickett gets 800k for example but their current starting corner is getting 100k? During the season of course won’t matter but what about at the end when the portal opens and their “unlimited budget” gets thrown in their face. Knight was dumb for publicly saying that. Should’ve been kept in house.
