So you wanted him to move to WR from RB?This Staff as a Whole is TRASH if You can't at least teach this Young Man how to run routes in the almost 3yrs here... Easily could've taken the top off defenses...
The speed was legit and we didn't utilize him as a receiver well enough. But let's also keep it a stack too, he showed absolutely nothing as a kick returner and isn't built to run between the tackles.
Dawson has an unimaginative offense based on old school air raid principles. Something will always be open but it's up to the qb to know how to read the defense, check plays, and find someone.Quick motion to the flat and you knew what it was. He was misused just like Brashard was . I like Dawson but he’s yet to show me anything creative with multi dimensional guys or guys with speed.
Competiton*Or simply a victim of completion. He got pased by a true freshman in Lyle
End of the day, he’s been here two years and he hasnt developed. It’s time to move on for both parties because he’s not gonna be playing a lot here in our current running back room. Now day's you got two years to prove yourself, and if you can’t get it done, it’s time to go.Jump to the portal. Thought he could be used better
Ok, so you're an individual that seems players garbage based on less than 30 touches? JC there's **** to argue but you made my point."bs returns"..... Lord have mercy.
Dude... he just wasn’t it.
Still could’ve found a way to get him 5-10 touches a game.Dude was always going to be behind Fletcher and Lyle. And Lyle is a future stud, not just a track star.
Exactly! And that’s the point. Why get talented players only to not use them creatively. We ran the same play everytime he was in. It was always obvious he was bout to get the ball. We did him no favors
Making an observation isn’t making a complaint so that’s your point of view so don’t try and paint me like you do others. Yes we had the #1 offense which I referenced in my initial post (if you cared to look at all my posts on this subject matter) but we also weren’t creative in putting some talented players I.e., CJJ in position to utilize that talent throughout this season. Both can be true and is true.“We had the #1 offense” followed by complaints is wild to me.
I do have to laugh out loud at this stuff about how the offense staff are idiots when we just watched best offense here of all time and the best in the country this year. It's not even hyperbole, it's just being on another planet. This Staff as a Whole is TRASH if You can't at least teach this Young Man how to run routes in the almost 3yrs here... Easily could've taken the top off defenses...
Sure, so long as the ACC expands the quarters to 25:00.Still could’ve found a way to get him 5-10 touches a game.
Nothing. It's the EA NCAA is real life mentality. If a guy has that 98 speed then he must be productive. Just like Tyler Harrell. To the CJJ fan club, what did you guys SEE ON THE FIELD that is causing you all to get up in your feels as the youngins say? All I saw was a fast guy in a football uniform. While I get that there is value in that, there's also a lot more to football than just speed.
I have a feeling this is just another example of some CiS folk feeling like a player was a lot better than he really was.
Totally agree. It’s been said by me and plenty of others on here before me that many of the porsters on CiS only know football via video games.Nothing. It's the EA NCAA is real life mentality. If a guy has that 98 speed then he must be productive. Just like Tyler Harrell.
Exactly. Because of our trash defense making every game a nail-biter, none of our young backups (most notably at QB) got any playing experience.Going into the season we thought our offense would do so well we would have a chance to see a lot of young players get burn. What we forgot was that going into the season we also thought our defense did not do enough to fill out the roster with impact players. We see how it has played out.
