**** didn’t want to see Chris Johnson jr…

This Staff as a Whole is TRASH if You can't at least teach this Young Man how to run routes in the almost 3yrs here... Easily could've taken the top off defenses...

i wish he would stick it out.

CJJ time was coming. He needed weight amd strength. He will perform better as he matures. Thats how it works. Players arent patient though with portal.

Brashard didnt want to play RB full time here is what the streets say, but we didnt "waste him".

He led country in KO returns, got some rushes, and played when we went to 4 WR.

He was Retrepos backup. We want to sit the best WR on team so Brashard could get some snaps? I guess

The speed was legit and we didn't utilize him as a receiver well enough. But let's also keep it a stack too, he showed absolutely nothing as a kick returner and isn't built to run between the tackles. Speed isn't as useful without the wiggle and he showed none of it.

Ehhh I wouldn't say "nothing" as a kick returner. He had a couple that he was close to breaking, and is right around top 20 in the nation in average.

Quick motion to the flat and you knew what it was. He was misused just like Brashard was . I like Dawson but he’s yet to show me anything creative with multi dimensional guys or guys with speed.
Dawson has an unimaginative offense based on old school air raid principles. Something will always be open but it's up to the qb to know how to read the defense, check plays, and find someone.

We had the #1 offense in the nation and the bad part is....it could have been done even easier.

Not trying to downplay our offense, but it's heavily reliant on players, not the plays in my opinion

Jump to the portal. Thought he could be used better
End of the day, he’s been here two years and he hasnt developed. It’s time to move on for both parties because he’s not gonna be playing a lot here in our current running back room. Now day's you got two years to prove yourself, and if you can’t get it done, it’s time to go.

"bs returns"..... Lord have mercy.

Dude... he just wasn’t it.
Ok, so you're an individual that seems players garbage based on less than 30 touches? JC there's **** to argue but you made my point.

I never said he was the second coming of anything. I also won't bury a kid with limited actual plays just because.

Let's start with your benchmark for a successful player. I'll hang up and liaten

“We had the #1 offense” followed by complaints is wild to me.
Making an observation isn’t making a complaint so that’s your point of view so don’t try and paint me like you do others. Yes we had the #1 offense which I referenced in my initial post (if you cared to look at all my posts on this subject matter) but we also weren’t creative in putting some talented players I.e., CJJ in position to utilize that talent throughout this season. Both can be true and is true.

Not unexpected but yea I agree. He could have found a role here eventually. Still, there was something missing. Never really saw the vision or elite feet/balance and vision. And I'm not sure who I would have had him take carries from. He was 5th on the depth chart for a reason.

I do have to laugh out loud at this stuff about how the offense staff are idiots when we just watched best offense here of all time and the best in the country this year. It's not even hyperbole, it's just being on another planet.

To the CJJ fan club, what did you guys SEE ON THE FIELD that is causing you all to get up in your feels as the youngins say? All I saw was a fast guy in a football uniform. While I get that there is value in that, there's also a lot more to football than just speed.

I have a feeling this is just another example of some CiS folk feeling like a player was a lot better than he really was.
Nothing. It's the EA NCAA is real life mentality. If a guy has that 98 speed then he must be productive. Just like Tyler Harrell.

Going into the season we thought our offense would do so well we would have a chance to see a lot of young players get burn. What we forgot was that going into the season we also thought our defense did not do enough to fill out the roster with impact players. We see how it has played out.
Exactly. Because of our trash defense making every game a nail-biter, none of our young backups (most notably at QB) got any playing experience.
