Honestly, why would he stay? He has been poorly used in his time here. He'll probably go to SMU and Lashlee will turn him into an All ACC player

Never been a fan. There's a lot more to being a good football player than just being able to run really fast in a straight line.

Zero wiggle. No vision. No elusiveness.

I'm sure there will be other departures that hurt, but this one is addition by subtraction. Completely overrated talent by many on these boards.
At least someones honest on here...

To the CJJ fan club, what did you guys SEE ON THE FIELD that is causing you all to get up in your feels as the youngins say? All I saw was a fast guy in a football uniform. While I get that there is value in that, there's also a lot more to football than just speed.

I have a feeling this is just another example of some CiS folk feeling like a player was a lot better than he really was.
Jack ****. But obviously that's on Mario and Dawson cause we didn't sit better players to see if we could waste a down on his straightline speed...

The speed was legit and we didn't utilize him as a receiver well enough. But let's also keep it a stack too, he showed absolutely nothing as a kick returner and isn't built to run between the tackles. Speed isn't as useful without the wiggle and he showed none of it.
Pretty sure he was top 10 in the country in average return

He was 20th at 24.4 yds per return which is HIGHLY deceiving b/c if we fair caught every KO we'd start at the 25.

Also I don't recall a single KO return going past the 35 yd line. Basically caught it at the goal line and ran to the 20 when he slowed down and got tackled at the 25. Rinse and repeat.

We literally had the highest YPC in all of P4.

We were elite at running in A+B gaps. I believe we were #1 at running in A gap last year. That our running game is somehow bad, which it isn't, because we mostly run inside is such a ridiculous narrative. Do I hope we get better at running outside next year - yes, of course. We weren't good at running outside this year, while we were elite at running inside, so we ran inside much more.

Something about his kick off returns didn’t sit well with me. I’m no ST expert but it seemed like he lacked vision and if he wasn’t running straight ahead, he wasn’t making anyone miss. Sucks but not surprising.
