I'd guess it's something along the lines of him leaning towards Bama.

All of those sites you pay for are trash because they rely on ad impressions, so click-bait is the only way to get those. 247 Miami site will do the same. Whatever school is affiliated with whatever media network will write an article that favors their team because fans will be enticed to....you guessed it, click.

they will land JJ, Ruggs, and Shavers.

as I mentioned several times already, Smith is going to be an extremely difficult pull for them due to the crowded roster. even though he has a connection to their coaching staff, he wants to start on Day 1. its really between us and LSU.

If he plans to follow through on his OV, which I fully expect, we will get him.
 
Smith is bama or lsu's to lose. I suppose there's a scenario where neither of them want smith, in which case, we have a great chance. I think bama is seeing who else they can land before bringing smith on board.

fwiw, Smith is also keen on leaving his home state for college. There are a lot of negative influences around him and his family would not be opposed to him going out of state to a more secure environment.

Yo, valid's being all positive and ****, I can't handle it.
 
He'd be nuts to choose Bama with the current WR's committed and on the roster. What WR wants to catch passes from the Bama QB who struggles with accuracy and the deep ball? Juedy is the answer then fine. Smith will end up at LSU if history repeats itself with these situations. If Richt somehow pulls Smith he gets an A+ recruiting grade this year.
 
Bama will most likely finish with Jeudy, Shavers, Ruggs & one between Nico Collins & Smith...

If Nico goes to Michigan then that basically opens it up for Smith.

That's what I was trying to say on that thread a while ago before I had to argue with a bunch of people misconstruing my comment lol...

Nearly every LSU insider has Smith as a Bama lock, with Eddy O trying to make a late push for him to stay home.
But, they've all said that he's being recruited by LSU as if he's already a Bama commit.

I have faith in Richt & hopefully he can pull the upset on the OV in January, but otherwise it appears to be a Bama vs LSU race as of now.

everything i've posted has been out in the public for months if you know where to look.
 
Didn't Pete say it's not likely Smith ends up here? That we had a better chance with Jeudy? I guess there is always a chance, but Pete seems pretty tuned in these days.

Yes, it actually does. When you have a client that specifically buys ads space, they'll be on you to deliver on those impressions. If it's a free site, chances are you're primarily banking on Google Adsense and don't have anyone knocking on your door to deliver on what you promised them. We can go on and on about this, but we're on a football board.
