This has clearly been their best season ever, and they're in a situation where they have 14 wins (their most ever) and could still get relegated to the 5 seed, and have so many injuries on defense that even with a truly elite offense, they could still lose in playoffs even though they have been by far the best team in the NFL this season as a whole... Like **** that'd suck to have such a great season but just not getting a SB to show for it and just constantly asking what if your defense didn't get crippled by injuries.... Lets just avoid that and drop 50 every game going forward lol.

It is true Lions fashion. Just like watching that L in the NFC championship last year. "Same old Lions" is something my family and I have said year after year for 33 years. I am prepared for disappointment.

SOL is dead. These last 2 years this team has done things never before done in franchise history. If you don't win a SB it doesn't mean this is SOL.

Again Hutchison is elite we need not bring him up… McNeil got a 100m dollar contract for 5 sacks last year and no pro bowls or all pros.

So if you aren’t all pro or pro bowl you aren’t good? This is the dumbest criteria you can use.

The top defenses in the league don’t have all pros or pro bowlers at every position.

He said 3rd stringers and 1st stringers were all the same level. Not a lot of substance to be found there.

Hope not. This season has been insanely fun to watch and it would suck for it to end because the defense looks like William and Mary against Cam Ward every play.

What do you think the drop off in quality is between an average NFL starter and the 3rd stringer or player who didn't even make the 53 man roster and was claimed off a practice squad because you literally have no players left on your own Roster+PS to play? lol

Now apply that to 4 Starting spots every game, and that's what the Lions have done this year at two LB and two EDGE spots since like week 11 lol.

You're here acting like everyone is saying every player the Lions lost is a superstar. No. But the difference between an average NFL starter or even GOOD NFL starter and guy that can't make a 53 man roster is quite large - especially when you are forced to rely on a handful (or two!) of them every game.

Still waiting for the collective pro bowls/ all pros the lions MINUS Hutchinson who we agree was the only elite player they lost. Injuries happen to every single team… it’s just getting blown up because hutch ain’t there he’s there best player and made those average starters look better than they were… because they sure as **** didn’t win any awards or accolades lol
