This is Miami, remember. Honeymoon lasted a couple weeks, what did you expect. Couple that with how bad Al burned us and we are like long tail cats in room full of rocking chairs. He had a real good weekend, but it is Wednesday there is a hot chick working out in the yard next door and what have you done for me lately. Welcome to THE U again, Mark.

i don't worry about who miami gets or doesn't get till signing day. not sure why get upset prior. we don't know who else richt is after, and we don't know if richt told him no longer interested or not.

i always try to wait and see who ends up at miami and get excited for that instead of keeping up day to day on who is a commit who isn't. kids waffle so much its just safer. plus if miami gets mercole hardeman, benjamin victor and malek young will anyone care if phillips decommited or not?
 
I'm all for nabbing some unheralded S. FL 3 stars. But, if we can stop battling Syracuse, USF, Cincy, etc. for most of our recruits and start battling and beating Bama, FSU, etc. for recruits that's when we'll get it rolling again.

Including the incoming freshman at WR, he'd be the fastest WR on our roster. Despite being our fastest WR, his best asset is making people miss in space and some are questioning if he's a take LULZ.

Here's a list of all of the SFL qbs that played another position in college for a D1 school that were all track guys or multi-sport athletes:

Antonio Brown
Kennard Cox
Asante Samuel
Mike Harris
Nu'keese Richardson
Lamar Jackson
Roscoe Parrish
Trayone Gray
Ricardo Louis

That's 5/9 making the NFL. I'm not sure if anyone other than Antonio Brown and Asante Samuel that made the probowl, but the others were starters. The 4 that didn't make the NFL are Lamar Jackson (who's currently playing qb, but was recruited and may end up at another position) and Richardson (who was highly recruited and made plays as a true freshman for UT got kicked out as a freshman. He actually made 2 nfl rosters despite quitting football for a bit. He was playing in a NFL preseason game for either the colts or pats. He got kicked out of the Patriots for cursing out someone on the patriots staff). Gray is only a sophomore, but is the most explosive RB on the hurricanes roster (BTW, he might be the slowest of this entire group). Ricardo Louis is the leading receiving by almost twice as many catches as any other WR at Auburn. He'll rip the NFL combine and will play on sundays. All of these players were usually the best player on the field or one of the best players on the field (Kennard Cox), regardless of competition.

With the ball in his hands, he reminds me most of Nu'keese who I've seen play and train in person.

Here's a list of SFL QBs that played another position at D1 school that didn't have top track numbers or dominate another sport:

Victor Marc
Courtney Denson
Jermain Kelson
Dan Parker
Jeff Godfrey
Alwan Lee
Doug Wiggins
Phillip Simpson

None of these guys made an impact in college.

Come on guys, we need higher expectations than DP! Have you seen the deadbeat schools who are recruiting him; USF, FIU, Cinnci, Toledo!!! No top program is recruiting him there must be a reason; below average!

Any kid with speed looks great in a highlight tape. Richt watched all his full game tapes. Did any of you? If you're judging off a highlight tape or 1 game tape then you're opinion is irrelevant

gotta admit, one thing that does scare me about Richt is the following........


he didn't really have any difference makers at WR ever since Green left. Just a bunch of 'guys' like Wooten, Mitchell, Bennett, Conley , etc.

100 percent agree, think Richt will regret this one in the long run. Kid is an absolute stud.

You can also add mossaqui, but you're right - slim pickings despite having guys like murray, Stafford and Greene slinging it. I think they've also had OC issues over the past 10 years

maybe some of the other schools got him on a promise of playing time
 
How do we know there isn't more going on with this kid behind closed doors? (ala personality issues, etc)

Just sayin - if he's as good as you guys say then Temple wouldn't be his next official visit and Syracuse, USF wouldn't be in his top 3.

South Florida breeds tons of these type of players, it's not the end of the world but many of you in thread are making it seem like it is. Richt knows what he is doing let him cook man
 
His coach said rich wanted him in this class. Said he liked his film and his scholarship was still good.

Wake me up when we actually lose someone that matters to this class. Richt has landed 2 huge recruits and is getting rid of 3 suspect offers. This guy is legit. Just wait til after the dead period. I'm stoked
