That is why these players are cheap at the moment. There is close to no connection on how/what college players make and what NFL players get paid.
In my opinion, the second most important position on the field is edge rusher. That is why those guys are the highest paid defensive players. Stewart is a game-wrecker. He can literally make a defensive coordinator look good all by himself. I think he counts as a star.I’m more talking about a OC or a DC
Sacking the QB is not more important than a competent DC that has all the responsibilities to a college team
A star player as in Cam Ward? 10000%
That star player carries a team to actual wins and is program changing good
Cam Ward, Tim Tebow type players are STAR players
The best DEs I’ve seen in college in past 25 years was and they were dominant but they never played for a national title or anything like thatIn my opinion, the second most important position on the field is edge rusher. I'd rather have Stewart than every coordinator in the country.
You’re on fire with your takes today. Very Stugotz-like.Mario needs to evolve a little here and make other programs envy us with the bag. All the top tier teams are spending that $ and the results are justiying it.
If you think we are spending with the Texas and Oregon’s of the world then THAT’s a hot take. You’re on fire with your takes today. Everyone has a bad day.
We have been recruiting well and maybe even very well but we're still clearly in a tier 2 level. What do you consider OSU, UGA, Bama, etc to be recruiting at if we're considered 'excellent'?Are we?
I think it's pretty clear we've been recruiting at an excellent level the last few years.
Can’t do that without collective bargaining.Getting out of hand quickly. This is the one place that I hope the NCAA can step in quickly to put a cap on the dollars or something.
How big of a disappointment has Alston been ?
