DE Dylan Stewart is expected to command $1 to $1.5 million on his second-year deal.

Our staff had Stewart top of the board. Number 1 overall player.

Seems they were spot on. Jeremiah Smith was up there too along with others proving it like Collin Simmons. We just finished 2nd for all of them.
Mario needs to evolve a little here and make other programs envy us with the bag. All the top tier teams are spending that $ and the results are justiying it.

Has he been the freshman in CFB this year?
We're again running 2nd for many of the studs we want in this class,Picket,Hanks,Griffith,Brown,Lowe,T.Williams,Terry,M.Carroll and a couple more. After this season and likely playoff appearance we should start winning more of these rec battles.

Why? Its the free market these kids are employees.

Yea there needs to be a structure but the universities and NcAA have made billions off of these kids and wouldn’t let them earn a dollar. so its 100% their fault right now they are in this mess.

You want your employer to come and cap your position? These kids should be able to get whatever the market wants to pay.

The sad parts is it’s coming from fans of the program and boosters having to pay all while the ncaa and universities make all the money. Its assbackwards
I find your comments here interesting. You cited your reasoning at first (free market), then ended with the real issue that I think most us that are in the "we need a cap" camp are really trying to articulate - fans and boosters are now being asked to fund it all while the schools/ncaa skate.

I'm now speaking just for me, but I don't think there should be a cap on the players' earnings. I think there should be some sort of school/ncaa backed portion (be it tv revenue sharing or whatever) separate of the individual deals. I find the concept of collectives to be right on par with political campaign financing via PACs and it makes my skin crawl. When you also consider that these entitites (schools and NCAA) are typically non-profits, it gets really gross, really fast. I feel insulted when I hear comments that assume I should be contributing (more) to NILs/collectives.

Yeah, for the "pay them everything!" crowd, I'm all up in my feels. I'm also not wrong.

Getting out of hand quickly. This is the one place that I hope the NCAA can step in quickly to put a cap on the dollars or something.
That’s not how capitalism works. What they should’ve done is only allow one transfer and no more or you sit out a year. That stops the bouncing around every year. These dummies could’ve done something that simple but had zero foresight.

Glad they idendified them but now we gotta land those guys. Imagine if we had a few of them on top of what we have.

That’s the range for a player with two years left of eligibility and near guaranteed top ten pick, possibly first overall, pick — yeup. I expect that number to keep rising throughout this decade.

It was not that long ago first rounders were making more than Pro Bowlers position by position. Suh signed for 68m/5yrs w/ 40M’s guaranteed.

The NCAA is in this mess because of the NCAA. Why do you think they have the organizational skill and competence to fix it now?
