Is the market being set for a top pass rusher?

Crazy you sign him, and then he wants more. What happens if he has a sophomore slump and underperforms, is these contracts year to year?

He’s only played 7 games and already wanting a huge pay out for next year
No different than a coach like let's say Scott Frost who bursts onto the scene in one season, gets a huge contract and then **** the bed.

Dylan Stewart is a beast and if you want him, you gotta pay.

Getting out of hand quickly. This is the one place that I hope the NCAA can step in quickly to put a cap on the dollars or something.

There should be contracts/salaries for players. It would be nice if they were not year to year too.

And there should be separate NIL deals for players who are actually promoting something. An example would be Cam Ward and and the recent adidas ad.

What exactly does "expected to command" mean? We see Cam getting NIL deals with Adidas and Bose, if Stewart does as well (I imagine he already has some real NIL $ with companies similar) does that count towards the "command" of 1.5 mil? Or are they saying a SCHOOL has to pay him 1.5 mil to play there?

The issue here is that how we arrive at that number is nebulous. Is that what he requires from the collective alone? In the spirit of NIL, this shouldnt be a pay for play so once again in the spirit of what it should be him commanding 1-1.5 mil in his second year while a significant sum probably isnt outrageous. Now Im not outright comparing him to Cam but how much do we think Cam will actually make this year at Miami?
