Thats a great point actually. I had been of the mindset that he gets a pass on both the Gattis and Steele hires but you changed my mind.

i would probably taking chances plucking off Kirby staff . He was a great d cord and I’m sure his d coaches are well coached by him . His d is what beat Texas in the sec championship game .

This is my concern with Mario. It seems like he struggles with managing personalities and knowing what will mesh and what won't. He lacks that feel when it comes to a staff, possibly team as well. We've heard disfunction with coaches...and i don't just mean the staff this year....and we've heard/seen it with players. If you're not a scheme guy, you have to be better than most at the other things.

Mario is a polarizing character in the CFB world. There’s no middle ground with him, just like CIS.

Middle tennessee state, near lose to Appalachian state, duke 42 to 21, 45-3, 42 16 pitt, the no kneel at gt, and we just lose to a team that got curb stomp by Arizona State and Kansas.

He should be on support staff. I would have Butch scouting all my defensive players and helping identify good position coaches

Mario would have to come out publicly and say something or admit or change his ways for somebody to come in and be the guy we need. NOBODY good is going to come be our DC and deal and work with Mario

Miami has talked to him before since Mario has been here. Mario wants a home run . Big name , sure thing DC. Not saying it’s him but he fits the description lol. We need an adult in the room badly.

He would be top of my list. Knows what it looks like will bring some serious fire to that side of the ball.
