I would kick the tires on old Ed Orgeron as well...he's always in Miami...only has one year left on old LSU buyout so $ shouldn't be an issue. Would be nasty! But Mario tends to not like previous head coaches with any success at all because he doesn't want to be looking over his shoulder so that probably rules Orgeron out.

When Mario was at Oregon he had multiple coaches go on to bigger and better roles.

While at Miami he’s had two gigantic flops in Gattis and Guidry.

I want someone who is systematically sound and develops players. I would maybe even look at the pros if needed.

It seems Mario is trying to help Guidry land elsewhere and not fire someone like he always does.

Clint Hurtt had a sideline run in with the Eagles HC a couple weeks ago and supposedly not going to return. He would be a HR replacement for Big Joe, though he probably isn’t going to work under Taylor like Big Joe did.

Mario is a polarizing character in the CFB world. There’s no middle ground with him, just like CIS.

Well the thousand hours of interviewing should’ve hinted to Mario maybe this guy is burnt or doesn’t want to be here. Imo Mario stayed on him like Ward since he hadn’t hit on anyone else and talked him into taking the job. So to me that’s an epic failure.
