Well aware he has his hand in several different things there on that side of the ball. Know several people on that staff, including the real DC and play caller on defense. I’m sure Muschamp is doing whatever they ask him to do and doing it well. Doesn’t change my opinion that they would be exactly where they are without him. He isn’t what we need and he gets brought up every single DC search and has been for years, it’s funny.

It’s all moot anyway, because he would never sign up to work for Mario.

He was already hired by Washington as their defensive coordinator

Just imagine how small the hiring pool of defensive coordinators will be when they find out that they can’t hire their own people because Mario needs recruiters and up to this point none of these so called recruiters have done ****

I really wish people would stop perpetuating this total fantasy. First off I have yet to see a shred of evidence that supports the idea that Jason Taylor is a good DE/DL coach. Could that be the stench of Guidry obscuring what could potentially be good work by Taylor? Sure but I'm absolutely not going to bet on that.

I'm much more inclined to do what I've been talking about for the last 2 months and that is to gut the entire defensive staff and rebuild. It starts with what we have been doing in the portal but we need make an elite hire at DC. Someone who has been a head coach and is an established name. The kind of coach that would easily assume the Associate Head Coach title and that Mario would trust completely to transform that side of the ball. The kind of guy Mario would confide in to help him on game day.

I think Jt has the experience playing for some any great and bad defensive minds. I just don’t know if he would be able to come up with a viable scheme and community that to his coaches and players

Whoever it is ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL…he better start thinking spare no expense, even throwing part of his salary to ensuring those he thinks may be out of reach otherwise…
