DC Candidates

Woke literally means that someone is informed, educated and conscious of social injustice and racial inequality. But certain news outlets and political faces use it as a negative narrative for progressives political movements.

“Stay woke” isn’t a new term. But I’m off my soap box back to football.
Marxist!

So I’m kinda a stats nerd and I’m going to drop this. I am by no means trying to sway anyone’s opinion but just figured I’d share some stats. I try to remove my fandom when I do this as I track a lot of stuff. I have more stuff for general cfb if anyone cares.

We've literally had an offensive staff and a defensive staff in two of three years that couldn’t stand each other. How you hire people that don’t align at all schematically then expect it to work is beyond me. The Qb coach and OC in 22 ghosted each other and couldn’ t stand each other. In 24 it was the DC and DL coach not jiving. You don’t have to be friends but you have to align in what you’re coaching / teaching. If not you end up with two horrible situations in a short period.
And there’s your sign. Wow! I at least hope that they “put on a good face” around the kids (ie: no glaring or yelling at each other when the players were around).

Brown and d.nic worked together at louisvile so there is some cohesion that everybody wants. But I don’t think brown would come. He is from miss and he went to ole miss

Yeap, I believe Brown also played his last two years at Ole Miss under Ed Orgeron, so that's
another connection to Mario.
Orgeron's DL coach at Ole Miss was Ryan Nielsen, and he was the DC for the Jax Jaguars'
staff that just got fired. I believe he was the DC, so there's another connection but I don't
follow NFL much, so I have no idea how he did at DC.

He's in the top 3 best CB's Coaches & evaluators in College Football.

The only thing is, he's never been a DC & never called plays.

I wouldn't be against it, but it would be a hard sell to this fanbase given his inexperience as a DC.

But he's absolutely a phenomenal DB Coach.
Just curious who are the other two in that top 3?

According to what Flo said on his podcast last night, whoever the new DC is will need to accept certain personnel on defense that Mario wants to retain. Banks wasn't willing to accept that. This would obviously go against the idea of getting a DC to run the whole show on that side. I am sure they would want to make their own personnel decisions in that case.

No one on the defensive staff has done a good enough job to justify that level of loyalty.

something is Mentally wrong with mario

they are reportedly good recruiters which is a priority for Mario. They have picked up some good players on their side of the ball. Salavea is our Polynesian connection. I doubt he parts with any of these guys. I don't think it is just loyalty as with Richt and his kid and Golden with his b buddy D'No.

He didn’t do good at all lol

JT will be the next DC book it.

You’d have to stupid to take this job. 3 coordinators have been let go with 2 of them being on defense.

Mario is going down the same path Golden went down. He didn’t have an extensive tree and no one from the outside wanted in. He had to promote guys like Hurlie Brown and Beard. Then get Randy Melvin from FIU.

i´ve been saying this for 2 years.
