Read the post by Cribby above yours. Mario was hired as HC without being saddled with Manny’s staff. Imagine if he was told mirabal and Dennis weren’t welcome and he has to use Garin Justice and whatever was recruiting under manny?

Please tell this level of organizational dysfunction is some other program you are aware of...

Complete and total failure by Mario if true, not to mention by all those individuals involved.

I’m not saying my suggestion is the right move, but it’s a high possibility it’s Mario’s thought process.

Let me ask you something , after seeing the results of the offense in 22 and the defense in 24 is it hard to believe ? Both units those years were absolutely atrocious. When Dawson stepped in the same guys were much better. The offense shot up the rankings even with TVD going ham with picks. I’d be willing to bet the same will happen with the defense next year.

Mario is the head coach not a coordinator. Big difference and its why you hardly ever see a coordinator get to hire their own staff on any level not just college. In most cases if anything a coordinator will get to hire 1 assistant coach and bring maybe 1 or 2 analysts with them

Amigo, don’t have to be an insider to see this is true. It seems Cristobal simply has to have some sycophants on his staff. Letting an OC and DC hire their own staff is dangerous because the staffers might have more loyalty to the coordinators than Cristobal. So I think Cristobal feels he needs to saddle a new coordinator with Marios own handpicked loyal followers make sure he maintains full control.

Diaz was more of an alpha than Cristobal. Didn’t hesitate to bring in staff that were better than him if they could help the team.
