Great kid. Hate it didn’t workout.

Still think the kid has the size, speed, and athleticism to play corner somewhere like Georgia State. No idea how he ended up at safety to begin with.
I'm not positive I remember but I think you had told me before you work with some of these kids right? If so I won't question your assessment. But for me every time I'd see him in practice (mind you initially I believed cornerback was his position as well) I left thinking he didn't have the hips for corner. I also thought he was a little erratic with his reeds because his eyes were all over the place. The end of the day though I believe this kid has plenty of potential if somebody can cut through whatever is going on mentally for him. He's just got to find someone who can help it all makes sense. Whether that's a communication thing whether that's an eye discipline thing etc. I honestly don't know. But for here it's beyond time for him to move on. Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at Georgia tech or something

I think it's really a mental issue. maybe he can find a coach that is a good teacher to rehab him. He was not horrible last year. he is lost this year, and to me its mental.

No one currently on the team but I’ve had a few in the past. I used to recruit the state of Georgia for an FCS program and have connections and good friends still.

I saw Harris in high school. I’d agree. Probably lacks the hips but he’s athletic enough for it. I think he’s better off at corner for the same reason, takes a lot of the thinking and eyes out of the equation. Not entirely but that’s the best fit for him.

Would he be a great corner? No. He was extremely raw there in HS. Never played safety in his life so that’s why I question that move to begin with. That’s the hardest position to never play and then suddenly move to especially at the college level.

Not the perfect comparison but reminds me of Adrian Colbert. Never was a good college safety and we took him at corner and he was great. Harris isn’t that fast or athletic but a step down and similar situation. Colbert also had a higher football IQ in general.

We’ve had some horrendous safety tandems in the last 15 years. At a place where you can throw a rock and hit 15 D1 caliber safeties any given year.
That’s what puzzles me. How can you not find a DB in S. Florida. That’s like not finding a shortstop or right fielder in the DR

AC is my brother. Love him to death. I can sortve see the comp. Only thing with AC is he played 7 positions throughout high school where he was all world & his football IQ is at a pretty high level. Far as Jayden I didn't know anything about him previously but if safety is completely new to him it makes me even question the take in general. Because at corner after seeing the issues we've seen and hips being immediately obvious than why bother with the project unless you know he grades highly. Safety is a position that requires being able to mentally process things at a high level. You have to make quick reads and trust them. Seems to be just as big a problem for him as anything else.

I’m surprised it took this long. End of the day, he just wasn’t nearly talented enough. He tried his best and I congratulate him for his effort and I wish him the best of luck on his journey in the portal.

I wish him well. He is a good kid who I had high hopes for coming into the season. It is best for him to move on. I believe their is another S that leaves before the portals are closed this off season.

I wish him all the best, seemed to be personally a good person. But for those standing up saying it’s not appropriate to trash players, the modern CFB is now professional ball with NIL. This is not the college football of that famous Mike Gundy speech.
