DB Jaden Harris enters the Portal

I see nothing wrong with it now that kids get paid. Opens all to their fair share of criticism as long as it’s not a threat.

The kid sucks *** at safety. As bad as Guidry was, no one possibly coached him to do the stupid **** he was doing.
Yup he was only playing safety though because our corch who gets paid significantly more sucks at his job

We’ve had some horrendous safety tandems in the last 15 years. At a place where you can throw a rock and hit 15 D1 caliber safeties any given year.
Just thinking we could have had kinchens and williams back to go along with this offense this yr...they had their issues too but man it would have been night and day

Yes they were terrible. I say this every year I feel like because Miami has had some terrible safeties in years past. The only defense I’m giving Highsmith is he was a qb for 2 years and moved to safety in 2011.
Fair point. That was just a dark time in the program. Moving a former QB to safety and the dude was actually getting reps there

Shut the **** up. **** your righteous bull****. He was one of the worst defensive players to ever walk through this program.

The makeover of Miami's secondary continues, as starting safety Jaden Harris will be entering the transfer portal.

The 6', 195-pound redshirt sophomore from Atlanta had a rough season for Miami, grading at 56.6 on PFF with 15 missed tackles (25.9%) and a 57.2 coverage grade. Harris was originally recruited to Miami by Manny Diaz and Travaris Robinson as a CB, but switched to safety upon Defensive Coordinator Lance Guidry's arrival.

Both Harris and Guidry will be looking for new homes after their struggles in 2024.

For his career, Harris has made 47 tackles with 5 TFLs, 1.5 sacks and 1 INT. He was ACC Defensive Back of the Week after his performance against Florida

My wife who casually watches the games would ask has #7 hit the portal 🤣🤣🤣

Good luck 7, Still need another starting safety in the portal.

Poyser…and no idea who starts alongside him. Zaquan? Marquise? Yikes. Neither looked starting-caliber. Day might leave since he’s a Guidry guy through and through. Even if not, don’t think he’s ready to start.

Honestly, might need two safeties in the portal depending on how the room shakes out.
Yeah I’d roll with Patterson at least he could tackle

Aren’t we at the point where we can splice DNA? Can we make a hybrid of Patterson and Markeith?
