DB Jaden Harris enters the Portal

Nobody ever doubted 7s talent. He reminds me of DJ Ivey n that He looks physically impressive, has the size & build you'd want & has great speed according to hs track numbers..

But none of that has translated to the fb field. He's missing something between the ears. It remains to be seen if it's a coaching issue on our side tho. I'll say this will be an interesting saga to follow over the next couple seasons.
I agree with u for the most part.. I’m just confident that while he most def lacked a certain level of talent to be considered great/elite, the atrocious coaching he received here did him no favors, & it wasn’t just him EVERYBODY on that side of the ball looked terrible outside of maybe OJ and Barrow… u tellin me a decent defensive staff could not field a average/mediocre unit with all them 4star/5tar players we had on defense smh

Harris is trash. Open field 1 on 1, in the hole 1 on 1 , in coverage 1 on 1 he was cooked every time that ain’t got **** to do with Guidry; matter of fact you could say guidry was doing his job by putting him in position to make a play. The dude is just garbage.

“it was Lance Guidry fault”
“Kirby uncovered a gem”

Good ******* riddance

The real story here

Is that UGA is using the Portal, on both sides of the ball.

UGA was supposed to be one of those examples of teams that strictly relied on their elite HS recruiting & didn't need to use the Portal. You know, one of those teams that a lot of our fans would want us to resemble...

Oh how the tides have turned.
UGA dealing with some issues they normally don’t deal with behind the scenes. Not saying this is causing Kirby to pivot in his strategy but it is interesting. If UGA doesn’t have a good season next year, it’s going to be really interesting.

I agree that while Guidry may have tried to put him in position, he still couldn't make the plays. Everybody gets beat but that Montrell Johnson run @UF was egregious, and by the end of the VT game it was clear that 7 was unplayable.

#15 might be super skinny but he made stops that came his way and was clearly the better player. Guidry has to bear full responsibility for continuing to play him at Safety when even Stevie Wonder could see that he had no business being back there. At best he could be in the box or slot but really shouldn't have been on the field.

This idiot conveniently only broke down the tape of the UF game 😭😭😭😭🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

Haha this guy is definitely being laced by UGA to push sunshine propaganda.. like how did he even get the coaches tape?

HOWEVER! I went into the video ready to laugh him off the internet, especially after he said Playmaker, but i watched it all. He's actually on point, He knows his ****.

He sees the same natural talent that we ALL saw flashes of with 7 but ALSO sees the same red flags that we witnessed. He even acknowledged How Miami fans would feel watching him play live week after week making mistake after mistake.

He believes that's due to inexperience, poor technique & coaching, not a player issue. The film breakdown really became an indictment of the alignment & communication issues we saw with the defense. Guidry also may have been asking him to do too much too early. He believes that UGA has a hidden gem after he receives top notch coaching... We'll see. They're probably going to have him playing mostly Man coverage & blitzing from that Slot/ STAR role, exactly how i said we should be using him. I'm going to continue to follow this storyline.

Harris should have never been on the field last year. The paltry safety room led to that. At most he should've seen spot duty and ST's. Learning a new position in D-1, and it looked like it. I don't blame the kid for that, though I was frustrated with his performance (like everyone else).

So Georgia loses some recruiting battles in the portal, and takes a flyer on a familiar name with some athleticism. No scholarship limits, and certainly didn't break the bank NIL-wise. Good luck to Jaden. Not much to see here says the team walking away with Poyser and a top portal corner with plenty of eligibility.

I'll never be in favor of trashing a kid personally because he's a bad football player. I really wish people wouldn't, but they're a$$holes. Especially since this was a kid who gave the effort and had the intensity, he just wasn't good. But this online harassment stuff really doesn't help the image or the program at all and I wish you idiots would f'n chill with it. You wanna rant on the boards when a kid is playing sh*tty, fine. But going after them personally online is really lame Busch League stuff.

Wish the best for the kid. He’s a legit athlete but he was thrust into a position he wasn’t ready for, not his fault.
Taking horrific angles to get to a RB or WR is not a " position" issue. Its a football playing issue.
