DB Coach Search

Theres 3 spots remaining on staff. For how atrocious our DBs have been lately crazy to think their wont be 2 DB coaches. Also, since it’s 4 down I’d expect a DT coach as well.

Off campus recruiting coaches remains at 11 coaches.
It’s 11 staff members, and Miami uses guys like Juan Navarro to be an off campus recruiter

You don’t need your special teams coach to be a recruiter. Mario has no excuses to not hire an actual coach instead of using analysts

No there is a new rule that allows more on field coaches. However, I'm not sure of the actual number allowed. Anyone know?

There is confusion on this issue. NCAA Bylaws remain in effect for having 10 countable, "on field" coaches, 11 including the HC. These coaches are the only ones allowed to recruit off campus. The bylaw that did change was allowing non countable "off field" staff, advisors (no limit to how many) to provide "technical and tactical instruction" to athletes. Reminder: Head coaches may temporarily appoint a staffer to fill a "countable" role for off campus recruiting when those roles are vacant, which is why you are seeing Cooney and Navarro on the road.

What makes you say Orphey is the best evaluator on that list?

Orphey is the only one of the 4 Idk anything about. Never met him and none of the people I talk to have either. So I'm just curious.
Max Melton & Christian Izien are a couple of reasons. Perfect examples of great evals and development. Now they’re 2 Scarlet Knights that are starting/contributing NFL DB’s…

No, I think you are confused on this issue. The NCAA actually relaxed the rules for "on field" coaches. The recruiting limitations remain in place.

Just read the article that YOU cited. You can have on-field ("practice and competition") coaching from any staff member, not just the 10-11 coaches.

As paragraph 3 points out, the relaxation of the ON-FIELD coaching limits does not extend to recruiting.

Wrong! You are mixing recruiting with on field. There is now no limit to the # of on field coaches.

1.) I actually was pretty confident all along that it wouldn’t be Emory. I didn’t know who it’d be, but I refused to believe the staff would punt next year by rolling that trash out there and voiced that consistently when I saw all of the WRs we were convincing to visit.

2.) Other people in this thread said the exact same thing that I did, but I’m the one you reply to? Lol, get off my **** and stop stalking me on this board you worthless bipolar ****.
Weren't you the one saying actually that you were confident that Dawson doesn't even like Emory? lol. If anything that'd more imply you were never on the Emory thought
