What does that mean by "stud"? Marve was a Florida Mr. Football wasn't he? So was Jacory. Jacory also went to the Elite 11. Kyle Wright was the #1 QB in the country. Kirby was a 4 star Elite 11 kid too.

Weve had a lot of "hyped" QBs come through here that never amounted to jack sh*t.

Honestly though, the last kid that I remember lighting it up in practice like this was Dorsey. I remember people very early on saying he looked like a young Kosar.

Marve and JaPicky were thought of as studs do to their star rankings.

In reallity JaPicky was just another SoFLA spread QB who had inflated stats bc of the team that surrounded him. He had zero arm, nothing between the ears, and no leadership qualitys. If randy wasn't the coach.. He would of never been a cane.

Did u really just bring up Kirby Freeman? Dude wouldNT even play at the FCS level.

Kyle wright would of been very good if he didn't have a new OC every year.

Everyone knew from the jump that Freeman, Marve, Jacory, Morris were not going to be the answer. I don't recall much hype.

Wyche is wayyyyy to high. he stood straight up. he needs to keep a lower pad level or he will never get there. hes strong as **** so they cant move him.

That's not fair dude. Jacory led MNW to the HS MNC #1 ranking and State Championship. He was a 4 star kid, from our biggest pipeline school, a Florida Mr. Football, and an Elite 11 QB. He was not just some scrub.

Kirby Freeman was a highly ranked Texas 4star and Elite 11 kid also. But he was more a dual threat running QB that did not fit our system at all. Never should have been recruited to Miami.

Morris wasn't sh*t.

You are using hindsight here on some of these guys. At the time they were recruited, many of them were highly regarded prospects.

Jacory Harris actually had a chance to be great until Whipple decided to throw deep every play. Aside from BC his senior year Jacory was actually the best QB we've had since Berlin.

He had a terrible arm. The WR had to be wide open to complete a pass. His ball had way too much air under it.

Been saying that since I first saw the tape that his QB coach sent out that James Coley was the first one to respond to. (Thank goodness.) Everybody wanted to clown. I've studied Kaaya in that, at the opening, Elite 11 and his high school films and this kid is the closest to Peyton that I've ever seen . We'll know soon enough.

I'm not saying he is or will be him but there's no denying his God given talent at QB. Granted, it's high school (Also forgot how he shredded the mighty Sierra team with the #1 CB and the Semper Fi defense though as well) but the kid has the goods. (Film and #'s don't lie)

That's one of our main problems around here, everyone is quick to compare a kid who has never played a down of CFB to a hall of famer. Then when they don't live up to expectations they're a bust. Just let these dudes play and prove themselves.
Not ****ting on you. I'm hyped for the season to.
But to compare a kid to Peyton Manning who hasn't played a down is crazy talk.

Happens EVERY single year, and so far out of all the expert comparisons to hall of famers, not one has panned out. Seriously, every year we hear the next Sean Taylor, Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Gore, etc, but other than Duke and Coley if he keeps it up, not one player has come close to those guys.
