DAY 4 PRACTICE THREAD

His poise and footwork look identical to Peyton Manning. Can't wait to see what he does in a live scrimmage.

Been saying that since I first saw the tape that his QB coach sent out that James Coley was the first one to respond to. (Thank goodness.) Everybody wanted to clown. I've studied Kaaya in that, at the opening, Elite 11 and his high school films and this kid is the closest to Peyton that I've ever seen . We'll know soon enough.

We need to slow this Kaaya Manning comparison waaaaay down.

I'm not saying he is or will be him but there's no denying his God given talent at QB. Granted, it's high school (Also forgot how he shredded the mighty Sierra team with the #1 CB and the Semper Fi defense though as well) but the kid has the goods. (Film and #'s don't lie)

That's one of our main problems around here, everyone is quick to compare a kid who has never played a down of CFB to a hall of famer. Then when they don't live up to expectations they're a bust. Just let these dudes play and prove themselves.
Not ****ting on you. I'm hyped for the season to.
But to compare a kid to Peyton Manning who hasn't played a down is crazy talk.

The 1s, with Kaaya at QB and Shane McDermott with a couple bad snaps. That got them a little running and a "what the **** is going on?"

Man this guy is just the gift that keeps on giving. We really have NO one else at C that can do anything? Can Linder be all that bad? What about Gall?

Rayshawn Jenkins and Herb Waters lock up for the first tussle of #Canes camp. No punches thrown, over quickly. No one to the ground.

Jake Heaps hits Stacy Coley on a pretty end-zone fade. Thrown right over Antonio Crawford. They high-five afterward.

Duke doing Duke things. Bounces outside on play-action for his second long would-be TD of the day.

Heaps picked off in 7 on 7 on a deep ball. Antonio Crawford with the pick @TheStateOfTheU

I'll say it now. Kaaya right now is better than Manning. Yeah, Cooper Manning.

I'm on the Kaaya train but let's not get too crazy. I remember driving home over in the Ocala area once and listening to local sports talk radio. I almost crashed when I realized those hilljacks were having a serious debate as to whether (then college player) Tebow was better right then than Ben Roethlisberger.

I believe this is what Matt was referring to...
8/8/14, 3:34 PM
D'Mauri Jones with a TD catch underneath in 11-on-11 work. Kaaya saw him streaking across and hit him in stride.

Love the way Kayaa looks off defenders. i hope he continue to improve that trait.

it kinda is looking off, but hes really going through progressions, and he does that with lightning quickness, almost peripherally, he is really good, if he is like this with live bullets don't see how he sits

Going through progressions? Morris laughs at such a silly concept.
i always referred to morris as the one read wonder. if that first read wasn't open it was straight panic mode especially his senior year

We are in good hands for the future when kaaya starts, that's something we do know..... I hope he starts this season. He is ready....... When have one of miami's freshmen qbs ever have done this well this early in camp?

When was the last time we had a stud QB come here? I'll wait...

And don't say Marve

yep, Shane is a guy whos flown under the radar in spite of getting dominated when we play the better defenses, if your offense is crumbling at the point of attack, it will make many things look bad.. He concerns me

I'm glad Morris is longer here to corrupt the mind and habits of young Kaaya.

What does that mean by "stud"? Marve was a Florida Mr. Football wasn't he? So was Jacory. Jacory also went to the Elite 11. Kyle Wright was the #1 QB in the country. Kirby was a 4 star Elite 11 kid too.

Weve had a lot of "hyped" QBs come through here that never amounted to jack sh*t.

Honestly though, the last kid that I remember lighting it up in practice like this was Dorsey. I remember people very early on saying he looked like a young Kosar.

I don't see how he could be flying under the radar. I think most of us saw it plain as day last year that he was by FAR the weak link of that OL. Just seems we have no one better. Really disheartening that this kid doesn't seem to have made much improvement at all.
