Day 1 Practice Notes (GRAY HAS ARRIVED)

When was the last time we had 5 solid QBs on our roster at the same time?

Not sure, but are we really going to call all these guys "solid" already? Rosier has lots of potential but is very raw. Williams is solid but hurt. Heaps is a big question mark. Kaaya will be solid. Olsen is a headcase that can go either way.

Lots of potential there, but I wouldn't say they are all "solid" right now.

how can Kaaya throw a TD if he only clocks the 40 in 5.5 sec?

That was funny...but I don't like you

What's with them all (minus Williams who has a right knee brace) wearing braces on their front legs? Is this some new precautionary thing?

didn't eric flowers start at LT as a frosh and it's really LT that's more important considering that's the blindside

First team o-line on #Canes camp Day 1 - Flowers, Feliciano, S. McDermott, Isidora and KC McDermott. Left to right

I like dat

Honestly that doesn't make me feel too good. When a True Frosh is already on the first team OL at RT, it means we have some serious depth issues there. Means neither Sunny nor Gadbois have impressed for sh*t. I know KC is supposed to be the goods, but very rarely is a true Frosh THAT good that he should be with the 1s on the first day of fall camp.

Solid in the sense that none of them are being converted to H-Back anytime soon.

Don't forget, Kc has been on campus for 7 months and participated in the spring. Its not like he got here over the summer and stepped right into a starting role. Plus, he is a high rated recruit so shouldn't we expect him to come in and act like it.

Im never in the camp of having a True Frosh start ANYWHERE on the OL. Im not saying it cant work out ok. But its usually an indication that you have major depth and talent issues at that spot. Im aware of how talented KC is and how highly rated he was. But its day 1 of fall camp. And Gadbois is already MIA. Sunny despite his massive size has always struck me as a project that might bloom late once he learned the position. Meaning we don't have much at RT.

Don't get me wrong. The best guy should play. But it just shows a real lack of depth at the position. On another note, Im not terribly excited that Shane is starting at C. Was hoping someone else would step up there. He was mediocre at best last year. Breaking in a new QB, maybe a young one too, this OL needs to be at least decent. Lot of question marks there.

The 40 is overrated. When it comes to game speed, the change of direction, The 40 is irrelevant brah.

Kaaya isn't your average freshman coming in. Very mature and humble kid with elite talent. Enjoy your starting QB vs Louisville

Dude said they were solid and yall swarm like some bees too honey. He didn't say we have 5 heisman trophy winners did he? I swear, you guys just wait around for posts to bash people on to make yourselves look more intelligent than your fellow posters.

Kc is ready- like Big E was ready and Big O was ready and so on...If you are that good of an O-Line prospect- and I believe Kc is- then you should play early.
