Dawson sucks too

People wonder why I am the way I am on here & why I have the opinions I have about the collective fanbase as a whole...

I promise it's not me being arrogant or smarmy, we objectively have the stupidest fxkin fanbase in the country & they prove it to be true on a DAILY basis.
Honestly, you’re one of the only reasons I read this board. I truly appreciate your insight and assessments. Please keep posting!

Dawson underutilized the running game all season. With a 21-0 lead we should have run thr ball more eating up clock and dominating the line of scrimmage. We didn't have any games where we were committed to the run. We had some quarters where we would focus on the run.

I watched my Philadelphia Eagles against the Baltimore Ravens today. The announcers talked about how the Eagles OC completely changed his philosophy to run oriented when the Eagles acquired Saquan Barkley from the Giants.

As much as I love Cam Ward, I think his talent hurt our running game in thst we didn'trely on it as much as we should have. It's crazy to say, but I think the offense will be better for the team being run first next year. It won't be as ****, but the offense will protect the the defense with more ball control. With more ball control, we'll have more game control. I do think the defense will be better when the young studs finally get their turn. They are more athletic and have a higher ceiling than the 2024 defense.
I've seen this mentioned a lot but I don't think we actually had the ball with 21 point lead. We scored to make it 21-0 then they scored and we bring out lyles and ran on first down for negative yards

This **** is asinine, our defense gave up 42 points and almost 400 yards of passing to Kyle ******* McCord. Our backend continues to get bent over by anyone with a pulse. The only logical solution some people on this board has is to crucify Dawson because he lacks creativity in the run game? He's an Air Raid guy what do you expect? Our run game strength is between the tackles, we have two bulldozers as one and two. This is getting ******* ridiculous. We scored 38, that should’ve been enough to beat Syracuse. People really expects this offense to score every **** possession? How about the defense get off the field on third down. Guidry has been horrendous this year, Dawson may not be the best offensive coordinator in the country but he's been productive, like he has at all his previous stops. This **** *****ing about the offense has got to stop. Every god **** coach has a little ****ery every now and then. Not one coach Alive will call a game exactly how it should be called.

Possibly but that screen (and I deplored our screen game) was a good call. X had the first down when he fumbled. Two things can be true...
It wasn’t because you have a 230 pound running back averaging 9 yards a carry give him the ball he he’s been sure handed with the ball in tight situations all year x just fumbled the week before on the same dumb *** play your only as good as your last play in my book and this cost us a lot so no it wasn’t a good play it was down right stupid

"In your (my) book". Ok I hear ya...

Trust me, you aren't the only one that has this mindset in regards to the fanbase. We have a lot of rational, sane fans in the fanbase, but we also have a shockingly high number of idiots that add absolutely nothing. I've said it for years, at least the idiots at Alabama, Georgia and other factory schools, put their money where their mouths are. The typical dumbass Miami fan doesn't spend, doesn't show up and acts like a moron online and embarrasses the University at every turn.

There's no way you can justify firing Dawson this year. Honestly, you couldn't justify firing him last year, especially when you look at what he inherited. He took at QB that was a turnover machine and still managed to have a Top 40 offense. This year, he took a guy that had a similar reputation and made him millions in draft position and built the best offense in the country. BEST OFFENSE IN AMERICA.

So running into the teeth of a stacked box makes a ton of sense. You can't make this stupid crap up. You just can't. X has been Miami's most reliable receiver for the better part of three years, you have to go to him and trust that he holds on to the ball. Honestly, he had it secured, dude just hit with a shot that he couldn't land again if he tried. It's tough to get that kind of strip, dude just hit it perfectly.

You guys are forgetting that Dawson was somewhat hamstrung by an abysmal defense. He thus had to play keep away sometimes instead of going for the jugular.

It is easy to say we had the number #1 offense in the country.
Obviously we did. There were so many bad calls that didn’t matter because Cam, X or Martinez would bail out the second and long. We should have been able to control the field on Cuse. They should never have been in position to score that many points when we had a 21 point cushion.

Dawson did just enough to get out of the way most games. He knows the game based upon the first drives. Much of the other success was despite him not due to his play calling.

Defense was much worse but Dawson absolutely should not get a pass. Name one game that you can say we were so lucky we had Dawson. How many were Cam bailed us out.

This should have been a historic offense. It was excellent.
Great players across the board. But there are 50 OC that could have done just as well. And at least 30 that would have done better.

Fire Dawson. If not next year we will regret it.
Tell me you’re a ******* idiot without telling me you’re a ******* idiot

My only issue with the offense was it wasn't aware how bad the defense was. Should have been 60 minutes of **** on o. No nonsense. Got lax in games too often. We cost/stopped ourselves.

We didn't have a #1 WR. We were like 1/100 on attempts that went 30+ yards in the air. Yet, we had the #1 offense in the country. Dawson did an incredible job.

The offensive script was top rate. 3 TDs on 3 drives. Then he opens up his playbook and it looks like he just randomly pulls plays out. That and the personnel groupings leave me scratching my head. Martinez ran at will. You’re battling for a conference championship and playoff appearance so why not sit him for the 2nd and a good chunk of the 3rd. All they had to do was keep going with what worked. I missed where Syracuse sat Gadsden, and their two receivers for big parts of the game to try other stuff.
They where trying to pump up cams number for the heisman is my guess is why we moved so far from the run game

I’m on the record saying Dawson is good but nothing special. That said, if trying to pin a loss when the offense scored 38 points and had over 500 yards of offense on the OC is possibly the most retarded thing I’ve ever seen here and I’ve seen a lot of retarded **** here.

If you disagree fine but stop trying to tell me what was stacked and what wasn’t the offense dictates to the defense not the other way around you smart *** if you think we can’t run on Syracuse anytime we want your crazy I like our line against that weak **** in any scenario go check the yard per carry from this game and x should be catching passes that doesn’t require him to have to go into much traffic he clearly has started a trend of fumbling in closed quarters so as a play caller you should have that in mind and call something better and don’t put him in that situation

They were but we were still running the ball. Just not effectively. Fletcher and Lyle got nothing going. Martinez was pretty unstoppable. And if they wanted to pump Cams numbers up they just needed to keep targeting JG, X, and Arroyo and hand the ball off 20x to Martinez. Instead we went to Lyle, gave more carries to Fletcher than to the guy that had 11 - 140+ (if no bs holding call) and started targeting McCormick, Brown, etc. we lost the momentum, ended up playing behind the sticks on a few drives, and never got it back. Should have been 31/35-14 at the half.

I think it’s OC malpractice. I’ve never seen an OC that is so willing to stop trying what is actually working.

Free pass U!

Can you imagine how difficult it would be to hire a good OC if you fire the OC with the number 1 offense?
No one would take this job if having the number 1 offense gets you fired.
Sometimes I really don't think people think this stuff through.
