Not sure if not many of the people in this thread listened to yesterday's podcast but Pete explicitly said that Miami is likely only looking at 1 LB in this class and that Joyner is their guy.

Not sure if you know how recruiting works but Joyner is currently commited to FSU. The staff have had many "guys" over the years that have not ended up in our program.

Got to have what is known as a "back-up plan"

Yes Joyner could very well be the "guy" but its a long way til December/January.

I realize Joyner is committed to FSU, but there are plenty of people on here speculating on Louis and Reese. The staff watched Reese in his spring game and cooled on him, and Pete said he's not sure how much Louis is even interested. So while, back-up options are a must, a guy the staff isn't high on and a guy that isn't high and Miami seem to be two pretty ****** back-up plans.

Reese is the best LB I've seen on tape. I don't care that he isn't as violent a tackler, he's always making plays and around the ball. Still think we should be all out for Reese, Louis and Sherwood. While I like Joyner, we already have Wilder on roster with Brooks in 2019 as rush LBs.

You obviously don't know what good LB film looks like.

His film is weak as fvck!

It is his size and speed that everyone loves.

When the pads come on he is a JAG.

You want to see good LB film go watch Sean Spence, Denzel Perryman, Shaq Quarterman, Micheal Pickney and Zach McCloud high school highlights.

Reese's film doesn't come close.

****, go watch Rosendo Louis's film and tell me that Reese's film is better.

You are just caught up with how this kid looks (size, muscles, speed, length) in shorts at a camp.

A kid his size and speed should be killing people out there.

And remember that you are watching a highlight film so there should be no clips of him not around the football or not making plays.

Have you seen him play live for a full game?

If not how could you say he is "always around the ball making plays"?

Okay tough guy, lol. Instead of being a smartass fvck, why not just focus on discussing the prospect? ... No, I have not seen him play in person as I no longer live in Florida. Yes, I've seen the highlights for all those guys. And I like how he makes his reads, handles coverage, navigates traffic and makes the tackle. I agree he doesn't lay the wood, but don't think that's essential. ... Funny you should mention Spence, as he was more of a finesse player like Reese. That's who I first thought of when I saw the kid's film.

No, no, no!! **** naw!!!! I know you ain't compare this kid to Sean Spence!! Spence had the BEST instincts I've seen an LB have in a while!! Stop it sir! If Spence had dude's body he would be an instant hall of famer lmao. And Spence laid fools out even though he wasn't the biggest guy.

Alot can change in 3-7 months. Remember, Bandy and Harley didnt have offers during this time in their respective years. Reese can rebound if he shows up this season im sure. Doubt he is completely off the board like Chatfield is. Even though I like Abdullah better so if we whiff on Joyner I am hoping Abdullah shows out his SR year and gets the nod..

Reese is on the line for the majority of the plays in his highlight that I cared to watch. Spence played 5-7yards off and also on STs allowing him to play downhill. Reese also lets the play come to him too much vs. attacking/killing the guy with the ball. I'm not sure if that is something he can be coached to do or if he can just kill guys once he is on a D that has more talent around him. Kid clearly has wheels. He isn't playing LB or his highlights are only at DE which would be a major flag.

Can someone post a highlight of him playing Safety or LB vs OLB/End?

I don't know why you are so sensitive calling me a "tough guy" or "smart *** fvck" but you are 100% wrong here and KingB02 just showed you why you know nothing when it comes to LB play.

I played MLB in HS, and judge LB film hardest b/c it is my favorite position to dissect.

Please don't ever compare this kid to Spence who played HS ball at 190 lbs and still hit way harder than Reese with 10 times better instincts and playmaking ability.

I believe Spence had like 135 tackles as a HS junior if I remember correctly.

Reese's production is nothing like that.

You must forget just how good Sean Spence was.

Like KingB02 was saying, if Spence had Reese's body he would go down as one of the best LBs to come out of FL right there with Ray Lewis.

The size queens never have given Spence the respect he deserved. He was an incredible football player. All they see these days is veiny biceps and rippling shoulders, and they get hypnotized.

Need to send this to coach Kool. Imo he doesn't seem to be targeting enough DTs

Seems like Diaz plans to play much more Nickel as his base set by only taking 1 backer this class. I think Reese is worth the flyer on though he is a Height Weight speed kind of kid that you can coach up. Only thing is you can coach a nasty attitude you either have it or you don't.

He has a few safties who will end up at Olb is my guess
