Gilbert is being used completely wrong here.
When he was healthy at Wisconsin he was disruptive force in the backfield as a 4-3 DE. I believe that's part of the reason he left Wisconsin-they are shifting to a 3-4 and he felt his talents better suited a 4-3. Having him stand up at OLB and drop into coverage is not his game.
Again, square peg, round hole.
If Gilbert was that good he would have shown it on the field. If he had he would have had more PT.

Would liked to have seen more of:
Muhammad over Shayon
Moore over Renfrow
Kirby over Gaines
Grace over Cornelius
Carter over Highsmith
THANKS AL

I'm not laughing
Green has actually been pretty good this year.
Green has actually been pretty good this year.
Anthony Chickillo 43 tackles, 7 TFL, 3.5 sacks, 0 FF
Shayon Greene 60 tackles, 10 TFL, 3.0sacks, 1 FF
Chickillo gets a pass, but everybody wants to pile on Greene and say the kid shouldn't be playing??? Greene has had a little better year statistically. The truth is all these guys have gotten on the field. McCord, AQM, Gilbert, Kamalu. And they all have screwed up their share of times. Of course the guy on the bench is always the better player.....

To be fair Green has been put in different areas. Moved around, not asked to anchor our DL and take on tackles and TEs. Green is the weakside in the 4-3 and they love him to an outside LB in a 3-4. Chickillo aint being used properly while Green gets treated like he is Aldon Smith or somebody.
