Damarius Good commits

He’s making an opinion, you don’t have to agree with everyone the staff does. How shouldn’t he be allowed to post here? Come on now... and he’s a cane through and through
He is not a cane through and through...no he is not...he can post...sorry for steam rolling your buddy...i just don't like negative people....he don't know nothing about that kid...only thing he know is what he read. Before he down a kid do his research. That kid could be listening...what if the kid blows up and get 30 power 5 Schollys.. by the summer end, and then commits else where? It does happen...he will be the first one the cry about it. All our committs should be respected and welcomed bottom line..if he a cane through and through...trust the coaches...or become a coach...Miami headed back to the top regardless cause when you're from here or anywhere else Florida boys ball out and stick out..too much talent not to get back to prominence...all over the State, not just in miami..

I'm done for now with this post T3000 and West coast canes, for now at least. I said what I had to say....when you say something else stupid again I'm right back on y'all ***...if one say something, it's all yall...im done with this post unless y'all say something real real stupid, then I'll be back, on this very same post ..

Agreed. I think one of the reasons his field speed isn’t matching his clock time is because he has poor RB vision and instincts. It’s irrelevant to recruiting him as a CB. If you look at Crowley’s tape, who is significantly slower, his tape jumps out at you because of the cuts he makes and using defenders momentum against them to then take it to the house. Takes a good evaluator to see his skills translate to another position like CB. It’s why he has such few offers. Time will tell but looks like Staff did a good job here.

I think you hit the nail on the head. When I watch his tape I see elite burst. But then he runs into a crowd or traffic and is stutter stepping.

I mean **** coach, the kid plays both ways so yeah fatigue could be a factor. Also those other boys are fast as well. You’re right on the fact that you can’t run that fast and never did so 🤫Shhhhhhh 🤐

I must've missed him playing both ways. Granted, I got bored watching that. He can hit though, that was all I saw of interest if I'm being real.

Speed though, there are most certainly others who have speed. I would bet there isn't one player he faced with his track speed though. There were multiple guys running as fast as him. I thought to myself that something doesn't add up, this guy doesn't run those times on the track.

I'm sorry that offends you. Without knowing his track times, I don't think anyone would watch that video and say he has elite speed. That track speed isn't showing up on the football field.

We hate losing the elite kids to other schools and also wonder how kids that turn out elite are completely missed by our staff and other schools.
Seems like this staff has a clear vision of what they want and is trying to evaluate everyone they can regardless of rankings especially players from this state.
That is something we all have been wanting UM to do. It’s one thing to say we strike out with elite recruits due to bags not winning facilities coaching etc...
But it’s another to completely whiff on kids that ball out at lower tier programs and get drafted. Or worse kids that never get offered and go kill it somewhere else. Bandy would be at Oklahoma right now if not for this staff.
Asante is a kid that left to FSU. Maybe we didn’t push hard enough or maybe he didn’t want to come. Some here know more about that situation but at least it seems that the staff doesn’t want too many players bandy’s size.
Imagine if this kid would've committed to Syracuse and locked down receivers? we all would sit here and complain about how the Fuuuuk did our staff miss out on a kid who was 6 feet tall and ran 10.6 and played multiple positions in a wing t offense.

Here’s tape of him on Defense from Sophomore year

Looks the part:

fiuchcnv91tf3nepuugg

Kid is gonna be a big, physical corner that rag-dolls FSU WRs and then this board will be all over his nuts

I questioned the take of M Jackson and last year was proven wrong. I questioned the take of the likes of Larry Hope and Vernon Davis and was right, when others were telling the board how these were diamonds in the rough that earned their scholly at camp and I’ll trust the coaches over anything. We are talking about getting back to an elite level, and we are taking kids like this before June? There is reason to be questioning this pickup. Now that obviously doesn’t mean the kid is no good, he could blow up and become a hurricane great but based on what is there right now, this is a headscratcher.

I didn't like the Hope and Davis takes either (like Dortch because of Butch), but I don't think it's fair to make much of a comparison to Good. Good is a fast, raw athlete with ideal size. Hope and Davis weren't really raw, they just weren't elite CB recruits. Neither was a great athlete and both were undersized.

Good is definitely not a sure thing, but he has a ceiling that's far higher than either Hope or Davis.

And if the coaching staff has watched his game film, watched him practice, and sized him up in person, why not take him now if they like him? I have a problem with taking Plan B or C kids just to fill spots right before NSD. But the DB board is wide open now. We could very likely get higher ranked guys, but I don't see how it's a headscratcher for the coaches to have a different target list than what 247/Rivals say

Even hope and vernon Davis had better film than good regardless whether it was defense or on offense.

Point was more about this unfair argument where people tout a kid that wasn’t expected to contribute who proved people wrong when in reality that isn’t the norm. More often than not the unsung kids don’t pan out.

Also if you can’t see how this can be looked at as a head scratcher, I just don’t know what to say. As I stated in my first response, if this kid was picked up by the Noles or Gators, we would be laughing, especially the Gators.

Now once again, I didn’t bash the kid, just said it’s a puzzling pick up. I do however find it comical with these ridiculous rationalizations how this kid is just an out right stud when the evidence avaialble to most on this site says he is a question mark. These are usually gonna be the same **** posters. We’ve had them with every staff this century. The staff can do no wrong, they are beyond reproach. It kills good discourse on this site and they are every bit as the bad as the negative trolls.

Look, The film isn’t that good period, interested to see if he sticks, we will see. He does have track speed but its Not evident in his film at all. This is too early of a take imo especially before paradise camp

I watched the film and saw a physical dog with good size and speed. If you don't, ok. But at this point in time I 100% trust the staff on their evals. Name a bad take (by this staff) so far. Their low ranked guys so far have turned out or at least trending towards being studs. I love this commit.

Since 5*'s aren't jumping on board yet this is how we can break thru. Last year Rousseau, hopefully Miller who Richt said he thought was the best NT in Florida.

Let the staff project the *'s. They haven't missed yet so why all the negativity. The staff's board obvious doesn't line up with the cis board...ill go with the staff.

The db talk this year sounds just like the talk last year regarding lb's. Look how that is shaping up. I trust this staff....no reason not to.
