Accountability- a freshman make one mistake and gets yanked immediately while upperclassman seems to be allowed to **** up constantly

Secondary has been the biggest problem IMO. They don't seem to communicate well and always seem to fall for the eye candy. A lot fans have blamed Guidry (myself included) but I think this is a personnel issue that hopefully gets better with the next class as well as portal.

Tackling and explosive plays.

Way too many of both. Points to poor fundamentals and poor communication on busted coverages

Tackling and recognition of the secondary.

We can’t be giving up explosives because of coverage busts and whiffs filling the alleys.

I can live with our guys not being all that talented in coverage. We knew that was the weakness of the team.

But we’re giving up cheap stuff right now.

We knew the DBs would suck. I’m not surprised that a unit coming in was the weakness, is the actual weakness.

My biggest problem with the defense is 2 things:
1) Highly paid DL has been solid when we need them to be elite (Bain will help tremendously)
2) Kiko is tremendously slow outside the tackles and teams will continue to stretch us wide in the run game and we don’t have an answer for it because you can’t sit him
