How open would he be to a move to guard?Should we keep Mauigoa at tackle, or does he have more of a future inside?
Jalen RiversWho would play LT w/ this move?
James Williams vibesI would not move our best Olineman to another position. The NFL can do what they want and will.
Wut?Rivers is not a LT, period. We’ve been there & done that. He failed. He’s a Guard
He’s the best pass blocker on the team and was 2nd team all conference.Rivers is not a LT, period. We’ve been there & done that. He failed. He’s a Guard
Tackles pull all the time. Dart, GT counter, tackle trap, wide sweepCommon sense says leave FM at RT.
But he would be a crazy pulling guard. Him and Anez would be able to dominate the interior with superior punch, strength and athleticism.
If we have another tackle that can step up, I'm all for moving him to LG. You just don't want it to devolve into one of those "it if aint broke, don't break it" type of scenarios.

His best play of the season was on a screen-type pull on Smith's reverse. Dude was out in space plenty.Tackles do pull.
From what I recall, we don't ask our tackles to pull that much in the current scheme.
