DAILY DEBATE: Does Miami deserve to be ranked over Alabama, Ole Miss and South Carolina?

Anyone hoping we get left out or say “we don’t deserve it our defense sucks” can go join the gators/moles with that Beta mentality.

I’m embarrassed by our loss to Syracuse but that will not stop me from wanting to see us play @ ND/OSU or Penn state. It’s not like Freeman, Franklin or Day are some coaching masterminds (they’re known for choking in big games) and if I remember correctly OU Mario beat OSU in Columbus.

If our choice is 50% of our players opting out in some nonesense bowl or competing in the CFP then the answer is simple.

I don’t expect to get in. We don’t have that type of luck. But I **** sure won’t hope we are left out for any reason.

The fact that ESPN, Yahoo and CBS Sports are polictiking for us says a lot.

**** even Dabo and Lashlee are pulling for Miami.

If Saban were still HC, I say we don't get in tonight but since he's not, we get in.

Vegas odds are still ****.

From a betting standpoint Vegas would benefit more if Miami gets in too considering MOST of the bets are on SC/Bama to get in.

Not to mention the viewership for Miami OSU/ND or Penn state would be insane. They take that into account. Our offense Vs one of those defenses has a much better chance of winning than the bama offense imo

my guy. the only other teams they put 40 on are Holy Cross & UNLV.

They lost at home to Stanford. They got boat raced by Pitt. They struggled with UCONN & NCState.

You can only use a strawman because ure defending the indefensible. No one has said they're awful. Everyone is saying they are very very very very beatable. Even stanford found a way. Almost every other team on their schedule put up a better defensive showing than we did. None of them recruit anywhere NEAR the level that we do.

Look, the "most viewed game" (as if there is a trophy) will be Notre Dame and whoever plays Notre Dame. Like it or not, they are still the kings of love-hate viewership.

Second, go back to DMoney's question, it was whether Miami "deserves" to be in over those three teams. And the answer is yes. Whether the votes will be there, who knows. But we are deserving, and the fact that the question was asked is an indication that there is uncertainty over the ultimate outcome.

That's life. Not making an arbitrary cut-off point does not mean the season "meant nothing" (as those pussies from F$U try to convince the world).

It will suck if we miss the round of 12, but we controlled our own destiny. On the other hand, if we make the round of 12, I will have absolutely no guilt or shame over that outcome, we ARE DESERVING.

That is all.

They won 75% of their games and UNLV is a top 25 Opponent and that was on the road. Honestly the Pitt game was a fluke imo because how often is ANY TEAM anywhere getting 3 pick 6’s? It’s just one of those games

We talk about SEC bias yet if we lost to LSU we wouldn’t be singing this tune because theyre SEC lol our defense gave up 35 and our offense scored 38 and left points on the field.

We should’ve never given up 35 points on defense to Syracuse because we are suppose to be better but playing @ Syracuse on senior day with all the pressure on us is a very tough position

Alabama gave up 40 to Vandy & only scored 3 against OU and THAT should never happen at Alabama. 1# recruiting classes for numerous years. OSU should never only score 10 pts to Michigan but they did. Ole Miss should’ve never lost to a 4 win Kentucky team but they did. ND should never lose AT HOME TO NIU but they did. All teams behind us have losses to WORSE teams at HOME.

It happens.
