DAILY DEBATE: Does Miami deserve to be ranked over Alabama, Ole Miss and South Carolina?

You know what bros. I change my mind.

We lost 2 games, both on the road to bowl teams. They were one possession games. Coin flip games. That's just the way the ball bounces sometimes.

That's not losing to Vanderbilt and getting the brakes blown off you by Brokelahoma.

That's not getting a five finger necklace from Ole Miss while you nickel and dime Ls to LSU and a brokedick Alabama team (lol, lost to ******* Vandy!)

lol, they lost to florida, I mean lol

and you know what, **** Tennessee, too. lol to the pigs. kick rocks. needed OT to beat the gator. lmfao

Miami IN.

**** the SEC as a staff, as a record label, and as a mother****in crew. Big Ten...**** you, too.

Probably be in tonight but then Clemson will win or Georgia will beat Texas again so that will make committee then put Bama ahead of Miami because Bama beat Georgia

And they were robbed against LSU. Atrocious officiating. They’re one team most would prefer to avoid right now. Sellers is a dude
It should have been South Carolina or Miami. There is no explanation for Alabama to make the playoff. The hottest team is USC the best season is Miami. The committee is getting heavily scrutinized because anyone with eyes knows bama doesn’t deserve the playoff this year. They made a precedent yesterday that losses don’t matter

i think SCar has a better shot at winning a playoff game than we do with our defense.

Man back when they first introduced the 12 team playoff, I used to think "This will solve it - bubble teams ranked 13, 14 etc. can't complain because they wouldn't have a legit shot to win it all" but damm it when it's your team, (even if you don't have a chance) it hits different lol.

Just wait til next year when the SEC looks much cleaner (I’m sure)…THEN, the losses will matter smh

You can make very valid arguments for and against any of these 4 teams.

Miami has no good wins, but did win 10 games and doesn't have a bad loss.
Alabama has god awful losses, but did beat UGA and South Carolina, two Top 15 teams
Ole Miss has a terrible loss to Kentucky, but smoked UGA and beat the **** out of South Carolina on the road
USCe obviously lost to the 2 teams above, but they've won 6 games in a row, 3 of those against ranked teams (A&M, Mizzou, at Clemson), plus a road win over Vandy in that time.

Look, these teams are all ranked between 11 and 14 for a reason. They all have warts. You can easily poke holes in any of them. But I do believe Miami has as good a shot as any of these 4 to be at #11 tonight when the rankings come out. The committee has told you what they value....they love our offense, they value winning, and they value close losses. We have 2, both on the road, to good teams, by a total of 9 points. Yes, we don't have the marquee wins the SEC teams do, but we don't have any putrid losses where we scored 3 points, or lost at home to Kentucky, or got pasted at home by 3 scores.

I'll tell you this, the committee will be HUGE Clemson fans on Saturday night. If Clemson wins, they don't have to worry about any of this ****. SMU and Clemson go, all 4 of these bubble teams are out, goodnight.
The committee is already trying to justify Alabama over smu. Actual statement.
