Cyrus Moss in the portal

It’s more than a weight thing. There’s got to be some type of mental or physical ailment that kept small schools away. Look at the national leaders in sacks. Most of them are not 260 lb guys. Troy had a guy finish in the top 10 nationally who was 6’4” 225 as a redshirt senior. Pass rush specialists are still valued in college football even if they’re one dimensional. You’re not going to convince me that every single G5 program was like “yeah we’re going to pass on this former blue chip guy because we just don’t think he can gain weight.
That's what I'm thinking something more behind the scenes with him it has to be

Moss is listed at 215, wow. Probably means he's still at 200. How is that possible? I looked at old posts on him, and back in 2022 a lot of CISers were actually saying he could contribute as a true freshman when he weighed around the same weight (200). I'll give the kid his due, he has a ton of talent. But unless he can figure out a way to gain 40 legit pounds or more while maintaining that burst and bend, he's at the right landing spot at Portland State.

For this kids to come in here with all that’s given to him and become stagnant .
Yep he needs to do what’s best for his family and go DII or DIII.
Try and learn a trade , if he hasn’t attempted anything tells me all we need to know.

When you’re chasing championships you have no time for nursing children, maybe he’s NFL ready like the others we had that can’t make a CFB team yet is NFL ready .

I’d love to know the back story here and it ain’t just weight. The dude could play and bend for a tall guy. Weird
I think it is as simple as the wt factor. At 215 , you will only see the field at DB on defense and then you better run no slower than 4.6

Wesley played the last 2 seasons at 210 and Pruitt, who is all the rage, just said he was 200.

Facts. Too light in the **** - I remember seeing him getting mauled by OL in a practice clip as a freshman. Not normal level dominating - I’m talking grizzly bear mauling of a 130lb old lady level mauling.

Wasn’t scared though so gotta give him that - but apparently couldn’t transition to LB and wasn’t fast enough to play OFF….equals to transferring to Southwest Florida Community College State, or Portland State

I don't think Moss has the athleticism to play off the LOS like those two. He needs the weight, and subsequent strength that goes with the weight, to play his natural position on the edge.

When we signed Malik Bryant, I thought the clock on Moss got alot quicker. It sucks but this is big time CFB. Some kids we sign WON'T graduate with University of Miami degrees
