CS Ferman News on Kirkland

You know gents, as I have said all along. I really want Thomas, but if he doesnt come. F*ck em. This U was here before him, and we will be just fine without him. Future is with the U. This is the program on the rise. It would be great to have Thomas be a part of that, but if he wants to go spend the next 4 years tipping cows in Trailerhassee, **** with him.

Ill be cheering for the kids who are ready to strap on the Orange and Green and bring us the 6th ring.

Amazing, the less is known, the more people comment. A lot of hysterical women here, imagining every possible scenario. It's now 50 pages with no real information.

Do you think the aliens have something to do with this?

It should be stated that Thomas is #1...any class without Thomas starts off at a B- and we subtract from there.

You know, if the dude doesn't want to play for Coach Golden in Coral Gables and would rather play for Jimbob in Trailerhassee, I'm not sure what that has to do with ranking our class.

If the dude doesn't want to play for Coach Golden in Coral Gables...you make him.

“@P_Ariz3: Everyone calm down” he was not a big miss though IMO. Always thought he was going to USF

Can someone translate this? I cant figure out what the F*CK a tweet means half the time. So who is now saying that it IS academics?

By the way, just let this sink in again: how ridiculous is it that Kirkland, a kid that supposedly has wanted to go to UM since he first learned about football, told the head recruiting coordinator and his own coach's friend that UM was "in my top 3" at this point in the game! I mean, seriously, could you imagine if you were offered a top job offer from a company you've always wanted to be with....and then telling them, "well, you're in my top 3."

No one in their right mind says that for the place they truly want to be. NO ONE.

Which is exactly why I don't buy a fugging word The Iceman is spewing. None of the **** these dudes are saying publicly makes a bit of sense. Then, when you throw in Kirkland stating the parting had to do with academics, the whole thing becomes a toilet. The real shame here is that UM can't tell its side of the story, so all the dopes out there will just eat up the one side as if it's the truth.

Genron (pretty well connected down here, was involved with Lamarcus Joyner somehow, involved in the HS football scene) is saying that Kirkland does have academic problems but that he was probably going to USF and was NEVER going to FSU.

Whoever the **** Jon Drummond is appears to be saying that, yes.

Golden runs a tight ship. If a kid doesn't want to be here he's not going to make it through UTough. If Thomas doesn't commit to the U then we make him regret it by stomping whichever team he chooses.

That's all you can do - wish him luck in his endeavors then make him regret it by being successful anyway.

Missed this, where did you see that Chise?

I've had the same thoughts on Denver Kirkland since the spring. He's a guard...he's a bit of a reacher...but...

Ain't no way I'm not taking Dade's #1 offensive line prospect...if he's got grade problems, you send that kid down the Green Mile to prep school n I'll see ya in 4 months. But you don't let the kid go to Ole Miss or USF. That's silly.

Exactly, which is why something weird happened. Since when do we give that much of a **** whether a kid qualifies to pull his offer? We signed AJL knowing he had serious grade issues and sent him to prep, but we wouldn't send Kirkland to prep?

I've seen weirder **** at this University over the past decade and seen and heard "fans" justify it...

I use my quote-fingers there because these "fans" rationalize and agree with some truly detrimental decisions over the past decade.

I'm on record as saying of these 8 or so big local recruits we need to land on Signing Day (Thomas, Collins, Grace, Bostwick, Chief Keef, Rashad Robinson, Kirkland, Coley), we need to land 6 or 7...no excuses and Thomas, Collins, Coley, and Grace are imperative gets...no excuses. Basically, I give this staff a small pass on Keef because he's a bit of a fruit pop (or a genius, I'm not sure yet) and the staff got on Robinson late and they obviously recognize that mistake...but everyone else should be dominoes falling. This class was small and they needed to focus on such few guys, failure to land the big fish of the class, that are all in our back yard (OOS recruiting wrapped up for this staff in December for ***** sake), we must sign these guys.

Coley is commited., Can guarantee that. Grace is committed. Collins should be good. That's three of the 4 imperative ones right there. Who knows what happens with Thomas now.

It should be stated that Thomas is #1...any class without Thomas starts off at a B- and we subtract from there.

Yep. The worst part is he was a game changer on DEFENSE. The side that needed every bit of help it could get. Miami had a probable future 1st-2nd round draft pick who is going to be a monster in college in your own backyard at BOOKER T and he might go to FSU...... :ohlord: no sugar coating that.

Manny needs to be dealt with.

Seriously. This is f*cking bullsht already with that f8ckbag. Guy lives to heap negative media on this school. I mean can we get a f*CKING break? Gawd **** programs in the SEC and other big state schools have the local yokel media slurping all over them, and here u have this two bit rag that thinks its the NY Times South thinking its so professional and avant garde to trash the local University and its football program.

I read all the local stuff up here and there are some real clowns (like 90% of sports journalists in this country). However, I've never read such blatant disregard from one local journalist over a local school before. There are dudes in the Twin Cities that rip on the U of Minnesota for a lot of stuff, but you can tell its done from a "I'm a frustrated fan" approach. It's sometimes over the top, but you get my drift. This fat clown you've got down there comes off like a jackass. Plain and simple. You would think someone with some "power" down there would put an end to it.

Genron (south florida pied piper) is saying that Kirkland wanted to commit a month ago, but his academics weren't in order. Seems like he recently got his test score and he didn't cut it. He then adds to a Pete tweet, that he always thought he would end up at USF, due to grades presumably.

This X infinity. One side is talking. Who are the BTW guys most likely to blame? Who are they least likely to blame?

The South Florida sports media really rustles my jimmies.

They can't help themselves. They give puff pieces and are basically an extension of the PR department for every other realm of South Florida sports...they are constantly scooped by national entities...but they just can't help themselves from these awful little jabs at the University. I dunno if they are still butthurt from Randy hating them, or what...but ******* ay. Its a week before Signing Day and instead of writing some puff pieces of the local kids that are looking for their "day in the spotlight" they basically write this ****.

Booker T had their parade today...Matthew Thomas was smiling talking about UM to a news reporter for the nightly news...but the Herald runs this ****.

I saw Kirkland said he wanted to go to UM for academics, but I don't remember reading that Kirkland said he has academic issues.

CaneInsider implies we have a Patrick Peterson, Cory Lemonier situation with SEC.. The Beast and the two owners of board implied this was the situation.
