Anyone who has ever argued with a woman (by definition, emotional, as Ice unfortunately was during his interview) can see through these comments. When you start getting "no, but there was a misunderstanding and I thought you said that he said that I said..." type of comments...

I don't know...this sounds like Harris was telling the staff he was coming, but the kid wouldn't commit. Space is tight, maybe they had another kid waiting on that spot and they had to make a call. You gotta make hard choices. You don't want to tell let's say Bryant, no because we think we're getting kirkland...and then he picks another school on NSD and you get nobody.

Completely understandable. However, there's consequences to making a decision like that. At the moment, the consequence is ICE is ****ed off. UM might be able to smooth things over later on. But it's best not to **** of a guy like ICE who is considered family down there and his word holds ALOT.

It's certainly possible that ice may be trying to get UM to reconsider by publicly shaming the....or he really is just that ****ed. I really think they gave him a deadline. He specifically mentioned that they discussed letting them know by Feb 1.

Why did Denver refuse to commit to Barrow if Harris says he was committed? How hard would it have been to say, "Yes, I'm committed to UM."? And why would Denver tell the press that it was an academic issue? This stuff doesn't add up. I wonder if the weird relationship with Crummie made Al and staff feel uncertain about Denver actually following through with the commitment to UM.
