CS Ferman News on Kirkland

If Ice's story is even remotely true, Golden, Coley and Cristobal will all go down there and squash this with Ice in a public manner. Manny will write about it, and Kirkland will commit here. If he doesn't, something doesn't make sense. Ice is emotional. Tough to take his words at face value when he's ranting.

Would you hold a spot for him? Think Ice is mad because he was telling them he was coming, but the staff cut him when he wouldn't commit. That Feb 1 date he mentioned after his OV seems like it was a hard deadline. Kid slipped. I really think they told him they had a spot for him until Feb 1.

Well, you can check my quotes and discussions on Denver Kirkland. I'm not the biggest fan. I don't think he can play tackle well enough and he'd have to do work to become what he's hyped to be. But, given everything else, I would absolutely have held a spot for him. I really don't believe we just suddenly tried to **** him. Matthew Thomas and Chad Thomas are worth holding that spot for him.

There's more to this story, obviously.

Still a horrific miscalculation on how this would play out by pulling the scholie. I mean how the F*CK would Barrow not talk with Harris about this and figure out how things would play out? I really hope there is more going on here. This would be an EPIC FAIL of just creating a sh*t storm at the worse possible time by F8cking over a local kid. They got to fix this ASAP.

"Ice" saying that we have too many DLine commits. Does that mean we know Bostwick and Bryant are both gonna commit to us? I dont know.

What I do know is I feel like curling up in a ball and crying, cause this is literally shocking right now.

The way I read the story is Harris has been telling the coaches Kirkland is coming here but when the coaches asked Kirkland he would only say we are in the top 3 and wouldn't confirm he was going to commit to us. Eventually the coaches got fed up and moved on.

That's the "normal" story. I imagine something else is going on though.

I'm seriously crying right now. **** it I'm not going to do that trial brief.

This is ******* bull****. There better be a good explanation....and by good explanation I mean a guarantee that Ice will wake up tomorrow being totally different and 6 committing cause this looks an awful lot like a ******* disaster.

This is for all the porsters and specifically the porster responsible for porst #461:

ICE is a Cane and ******* loves this program. Why on earth we he lie? That makes zero sense whatsover.

Ya, no reason at all. Not to protect his kid or to protect his ability to get a scholarship. Do his quotes sound calm and rational to you?

Kirkland just all of a sudden really likes Ole Miss or some other random school. ****, maybe he'll end up at Marshall. Just because of "loyalty!"

Calm down.

He could have said nothing at all if that's what he wanted to accomplish. It's not like UM was ever going to come out and say something bad about Kirkland.

Think logically here. Ice isn't going to publicly criticize a program that he loves and say that he can't trust the coaches here to protect one kid. He's not going to say that he felt lied to by our staff to protect one kid.

None of the other schools that have offered Kirkland are about to pull his scholly just because we did. Both parties could have parted ways quietly and said nothing. But clearly Ice felt the need to speak up. And this is a guy who is just as much of a Cane as any of us and loves this program just as much if not more.

Sorry but protecting one single player doesn't fly. That doesn't add up at all. If anything, Ice would lean towards protecting UM more than one single kid if it was really the kid's fault

Take off the orange and green glasses.

To protect his player.

So he's going to slander his own team that he loves and say he'd think twice about sending players here and say that he can't trust the coaches here just to protect one player?

Be real. That makes zero sense.

The only to whom that doesn't make sense is you. Ice Harris' loyalties are to the community and to HIS school, first and foremost. He's a straight out father figure to local kids and needs their trust above all. You really think he won't throw punches at UM in order to put his player in a good enough position? Really?

For those of you confused by Kirkland's academic comments. Ice Harris said Kirkland misunderstood my question. #UM

Again, Kirkland told Ice Harris he thought I was asking him why he wanted to go to #UM. Thus, he said academics.

LOL

Dude, you need to calm the **** down. Step away from the computer, consume some alcohol, and find an activity to occupy your time for a while.

That's exactly the point. Ice is entirely too emotional about this and just so happened to get in the press before he calmed down.

FWiW PapaCane is saying it really is a numbers issue and the staff just didn't have DK rated that highly... apparently not highly enough to take a risk holding a spot.

*shrug*

ICE is a Cane and ****ing loves this program. Why on earth we he lie? That makes zero sense whatsover.

To protect his player.

Be real. That makes zero sense.

Chad Wilson, a former Cane player has taken not so subtle shots at Miami on Twitter for not offering Skai Moore. His kid, 2014 DB Quincy Wilson doesn't have and offer yet either. It does happen.

Of course he is going to protect one of his guys over his favorite college team

This is the reason I have been terrified of crecruiting. We needed to hit on 6, Kirkland, Coley, Collins, Bostwick/Bryant, Grace

And as it stands now the BTW kids and DTs are major questions marks. Huge Golden fan, but as it stands right now our class is weak. Hope things get better pretty fast

And people says we dropped him cause he is being recruited by Arkansas are we dropping Collins also??

The only thing that makes some kind of sense is they asked for cash or something. Although I cant see them dropping the offer for that.

something BIG is happening trust in golden SOMEONE BIG is coming i feel that S*** the staff wouldnt pull this s*** for no reason
