Cristobal can recruit the fuqk out

I remember when people said he only recruited well because he had the “A” on his shirt.

Why do you think they hired him in the first place?

What about coach Kool...awful recruiter and still got hired.

If he was here he would be going against saban and smart........coaching here is a different animal. Oregon doesnt get a prospect bama and those schools putting the full court press for of course he can get the number 4 class in bumb *** oregon
Delusional, explain the top 50 olineman penei Sewell then who Cristobal out recruited bama for.

BRuh he sucks period

If u not winning big to me u suck thats what i go by nothing else
You don’t know football like that, Cristobal is one of the best recruiters in the game. He won at fiu after them being downright horrible. Personally, I hope he does well at Oregon and proves he can win

Yep. Give me Petersen over MOST coaches in ALL of college football.

Living in the NW I've been able to keep a close eye on what UW and Oregon have been up to... Petersen is amazing but imo the unsung hero is Jimmy Lake, he's the one putting together the insanely talented DB cores. This year's might be the best yet... imo it's only a matter of time until the Bama's and Ohio States of the world start looking into hiring him. UW giving Lake a raise and co-DC title will help keep him around for a bit tho, I'm sure they will look to make him the overall DC sooner than later if all works out as they plan. It will be interesting, he very well could get HC opportunities too

Cristobal is just like Ed O....great recruiter but ****** coach. But Coker proved if you have enough talent you can win no matter how shtty you are as a coach.

We shall see. He's got a good QB in Justin Herbert.

Eugene is a unique place and Chip Kelly and others have succeeded there; Nike power.

Personally, I dislike what Mario did but I'll cheer for him. except against us (recruiting or on the field).

Hes going to get his head cracked. Jim Leavitt will help and was a good staff move..but...USC, UW, and Stanford are still there....theye won 4 conference games last year.

He recruiting his *** off though...but thats what he does.

Another day another blue chip recruit for Cristobal.

Wait, wouldn’t that mean Rumph and Richt got a blue chip in Dean then? Wasn’t he the #1 JUCO DB coming out? And people say Rumph can’t recruit. Slight sarcasm here.

He will be an at best, 8-4 coach at Oregon.

As gogeta has noted...he'll recruit a lot of talent there...probably better than Chip, really...but Chip recruited players for a scheme, so while he got a few studs, it was a lot of lower tier scheme fits...Mario just gonna pluck stars like crazy. He'll get plenty of talent there...but he's not a good coach nor will he surround himself with good enough coaches/coordinators to be really good in the Pac12.

USC, Stanford, Washington are going to be mainstays...watch out for Arizona with Sumlin, I think thats a good fit...Chip could bring UCLA up a notch, but I think he needs a year or two. Utah and Wazzu gonna be in that 7-8 win bed usually, too. Ain't gonna be easy for Mario...could regularly be the 7th best team in the Pac12 at best.

Interestingly enough I just recently looked that up. He got passed by his JUCO teammate near the end of the cycle Sheffield the DB for Ohio state, the kid is baller he popped in their bowl game last year. Which makes me believe Dean must have flashed in JUCO, hopefully it clicks for him this year.

Arizona State cracked his head last year to. Like stated Chip was getting guys to fit his scheme...so stars didnt matter so much. UCLA cracked them last year too and only will be better. Oregon is a place you need an innovator on either side at to win. Cristobal aint that...hes an ol coach.

Let’s be real usc recruits itself and whoever is coaching there will get majority of the elite recruits on the west coast. With that being said the rest of the conference don’t recruit that well every year and right now they have 2nd best recruiting team on the west coast

USC should win that conference every single year with the talent advantage they have. All they need is a competent coach. Cristobal vs Helton is actually an intriguing matchup of ehhh game day coaches with talented teams.

I dont Hate usc but they should be doing better than what they are but still manage to get blown out in prime time games and have literally no competition in getting recruits. Media hypes them up every year for them to lose 3-4 games

Alright lets calm down with the comparisons here. One is 27-10 with a rose bowl win the other is 27-48 with a Little Caesar’s bowl win. I’ll let you figure out who’s who. Let’s calm down here.

They got comp for recruits. Most of oregon class is from cali. Oregon got the #1 cb, #1 safety, #1 LB, #2 wr, and #2 rb in cali going by 247.
