Better yet, what does new BIG member UCLA bring to the table?
They bring to the table USC's crosstown rival and full ownership of the 2nd largest TV market in the country. They were needed to bring USC to the Big 10, USC would not come without a travel partner.

What Miami brings to the B1G is the S. Fla TV market which would give B1G major eyeballs East to west and North to South something the mighty SEC doesn’t have being somewhat regional to the KKK states…
Let's hope this argument works for the B1G decision makers. I could see them also thinking FSU brings them the whole state, including a portion of SFL.

Yeah FSU isn’t bringing them the SFL market like Miami is. You can’t say on the one hand UCLA helps bring the second biggest tv market to the BIG (when Miami comparatively has better TV #’s than they do), and then wave off Miami bring SFL because maybe they think FSU can. Miami and FSU have distinct markets.

Is it possible we have been in talks with fsu and clemson and decided that because fsu is public and protected by various state university laws they have the best chance at a legal battle to blow this up???

The ACC schools know the conference leaders have fuqed them at every opportunity, excluding the North Carolina schools, you don’t think the rest of the universities talk to each other?

You think fsu or Clemson really didn’t know about the emergency vote that Phillips called?

My god some of you are stupid

The sky is falling, Miami is stuck in the ACC with Wake Forest and Boston College until 2036…. Keep on believing that

The issue is that by just getting FSU the Big gets carriage fees for the entire state, so from that point of view UM isn't "additive". Of course Miami adds huge viewership from Orlando down to the Keys, area heavy with B10 "immigrants", plus the recruiting aspect, and the rivalry history with FSU / ND.

Miami is synergistically additive. All of the. Michigan, Ohio Taint and Pedo State games immediately see bumps in attendance and Florida viewership when you add Miami.

Currently Florida, the 2nd largest college football tv market, is mostly an SEC state despite having 2 ACC schools. A reflection of how weak the ACC is.

If B1G adds FSU, Florida will be a 50/50 B1G/SEC state besides South Florida.

If B1G adds Miami AND FSU, Florida becomes a B1G state.

It's the largest prize in college football up for grabs for TV networks BY FAR. Texas is gone to the SEC so Florida is the biggest prize left.

USC wouldn't come to the Big 10 with UCLA. FSU has no such limitation on itself.
