MEGA Conference Realignment and lawsuits Megathread: Stories, Tales, Lies, and Exaggerations

Again, the more he posts, the more it's evident that he doesn't know a thing about our program. His entire view of our program is formed by (1) public perception and (2) whatever the warchant "insiders" say to him on their board.

Look at the comments too for the usual regurgitation of "bad facts" for us such as:
  • "Empty Homegames" --> on average, over the past five years, we've had ~54,000 fans in the stands. That's more than half the Big 10. It's more than UCLA. Again, we don't fill up our stands unless we actually have a decent team. We're not in a small college town where every CFB game is the main attraction of that day. The last time we were good, in 2017, we were in the Top 25 for home game attendance.

  • "Broke" --> we have big $$$ donors and one of the most competitive NIL in the country. Need I say more.

  • "Off campus stadium" --> this is more structural than anything, we don't have the space to build one on campus. Also, UCLA plays at the Rose Bowl which is just as far from their campus as Hard Rock is from us. Didn't hear any of these guys complain about that.
Ultimately, having a great season solves a lot of our problems.

You know its fabricated when that is your first line. No one feels bad for Miami fans lol.
Nobody does lol. If a CFB fan is at least 30 years old, chances are that we terrorized their team at some point. A lot of the hate for us comes from the fact that we punched way above our weight for thirty years and accumulated crazy talent. Basically a "know your place" mentality.

So is Rads just operating on a completely different level to FSU / Clemson and is well on the way to protecting our best interests and getting out of the ACC - or do we have to hire a hitman?

'Cos he looks like a clown after the comments from the last few days.

Genetics latest comment was "The UNC BOT Chair was right that the ACC is being operated to subsidize the bottom teams like Miami, Wake Forest, Syracuse". ??? This guy is totally out of control and purely making **** up!!!
He doesn’t have a “CanesInsight subscription” but he sure does get ****y whenever he’s criticized here

Yes, so true the same Nebraska that just lost one of its own legends Trev Alberts who was the AD who unexpectedly and abruptly leaves to go to TAMU for the same position less than a month ago, the same Nebraska that has not had a school president in over 9 months, and the governor of Nebraska is threatening to intervene in that situation.
So what is this leadership you speak of ?

The portal… tons of QBs in it last year … he came in and said he was they best QB in the country…
How could he have known TVD would have a mental breakdown mid season? no one saw that coming. So why would he go spend a bunch of money in the portal for a problem he didnt think he would have. He had so many holes to fill already. All these posts go back to one thing. Mannys horrible recruiting bit Mario in the ***. If he was doing such a great job he wouldnt have gotten sht canned.

It's three things with him.
  1. As someone else already posted on here, he desperately wants to be a media player and known insider. I think it's apparent that he has some connections to people in the B10 office, but he doesn't know a thing about what's going on with the SEC or with a lot of program's us and Clemson in particular. A lot of what he says is based off of public perception or just extrapolating the info he has beyond a reasonable degree.

  2. He has a big presence on Warchant, and he's being fed a narrative by the FSU "insiders" on there. That's most evidenced by the post he made a few months ago about our "finances." I know for a fact that 95% of the information in that post is blatantly false and reads like and FSU fan fiction. Ultimately, they both gas each other up and lead each other on. He's become way more anti-Miami as he's gotten more involved with the FSU people. Up until the Clemson suit (go look at his twitter if you want) every third post had an FSU mention in it. Seems to me that's who he's getting most of his info on the ACC from.

  3. He knows that everytime he posts about us on twitter he'll get a rise out of our fans and more engagement from us and our rivals. It's funny because not even a week ago he was talking about Miami being in the P2, and only changed his tune when Clemson filed suit. I imagine that some point before the season begins he'll hedge and make some ambiguous post about things heating up for us.
Either way he doesn't have any inside info on us.

In my view, Manny was the worst of our post-Coker coaches. The cultural rot we'd experienced over the past two decades hit rock bottom, and his recruiting was abysmal. We had a lot of cancers in that locker room.

I do think that everyone, Mario included, underestimated how bad the state of our program was and how long the rebuild would take. Factor in two bad coordinator hires, injuries (especially at QB), and a broken locker room, and you get the 2022 season.

Nobody could've anticipated how bad TVD would be (albeit he was playing through some bad injuries). Because of his play we lost the NCST game, almost lost to UVA, and he's the second biggest reason why we lost to GT (that loss is on Mario's massive mistake; but we're not even in that position if TVD has even an average game). He's also the reason we had to start a true freshman against Clemson and FSU. We probably beat a Top 5 FSU with an average QB. All in all, with an average QB, we're a 9-3 team last year. The hope is that with an elite QB like Cam Ward we can be a 10-11 win team.
