If I had to guess, they'd prefer to associate with higher-caliber academic institutions (not trying to **** on SDSU which is a fine academic institution) and either are OK with where they are or go to the B1G. But they could be backed into a corner if the ACC implodes and not have a choice.

Anyone want to tell them that the SEC Network and B1G network are having the same issues with either DirecTV or cable companies? I think both of the so-called power 2 conferences are going to be more hesitant to expand until the financial bonanzas each projected are real.

The entire topic of "conference realignment" is definitely back burnered while the networks go to battle. VENU sports streaming partnership, slated to launch in September 2024, on hold indefinitely due to an injunction. If carriage fees end up EVERYWHERE going from "statewide" to "local market area" the $$$ impact to ESPN is going to be huge.

Really believe that things will take care of themselves if we make the playoff. Any game we play will do numbers, just like the UF game did numbers.

Not many other schools for Pac12 to add other than Nevada/UNLV and Wyoming, and maybe like San Jose St? as far as Western schools Maybe you can get 2 Texas schools like a Rice, UTEP, and/or North Texas? Otherwise furthest East you go is probably Tulsa, Memphis, and LaTech/Louisiana/Tulane....
