Comparing Miami and FSU

FSU has not played a team this season that is close to them in talent and speed. None of the teams they have played have had the ability to even test them. Boston College scored in the 30s against their defense and they are no better than average on offense. It will be interesting to see FSU play Clemson because it will be the first time FSU has even played a talented team. I've listened to a lot of Noles and it's the same old crap, they think no one can beat them.

I was thinking about the talent at positions for both teams and I would not trade OL, WR, RB, TE, punter, DE, LB, CB, or safeties with FSU. Think about the depth and talent on the OL. Morris has been playing hurt and no one is getting a lot of pressure on him. He's right there to be had and is not getting hit often. FSU QB is having to scramble for his life. He's making plays but he's getting pressured. Having watched most of the FSU games, they do not get pressure with their DEs. They miss those DEs who went to the NFL.
If FSU does not get pressure they will not be able to stop Miami's offense.

The Canes have the ability to stretch the Noles on defense with outstanding WR play, talented TEs who size and speed can create mismatches and don't forget Duke. The Noles have good RBs but they don't have anyone like Duke. When you throw in Gus, Crawford and Hagens @ FB I like the unit better than FSUs.

At LB, I would not trade Perryman for any Nole LB, he is a tackling machine. I think LB is one of the strengths of this team. I could go on and on but I think you see at the top of my post the positions I think are better than FSU. QB I did not list but my thoughts are; Morris threw for 3500yds last year and has won big games. Florida would be the best example. Winston for FSU has not had that big test but is coming against Clemson in a couple of weeks. I like the kid's poise so far but Morris is much more proven. I did give FSU the edge at DT.

I'm interested in your thoughts and opinions.

FSU is very good this year. Having a great QB can be the difference. Although their team was more talented on Defense last year, there offense is significantly better with Winston and their defense is still good, not great. The upside to their defense is they have some young talented players and it is a new system so they should get better as the season goes on.

Regardless, they have to play Clemson in 2 weeks. That will be the first time they play a legit team. We will learn a lot about Winston and FSU in general.

At the end of the day, Miami vs FSU games are generally close regardless of talent when one of the teams is not on a serious down year.

They have the edge since it is in Talley but it will be a close and hard fought game.

Should be a thriller as usual.

They are deep, talented, and have some difference-makers. Please, lets put away the orange and green glasses on this one. Its going to be a war. Hopefully a top 10 matchup.

All else being equal, Winston is the x factor - passing on the run, running for maddening 1st downs on 3 and long when it appears he's bottled up.

Going manziel on a D getting free to almost blindly, magically throw a pinpoint dart / reception out of his *** on the run has to backfire on him sooner or later (he can't keep it up can he?) so let's see if he's does it against Clemson.

He'll likely get banged up by Clemson and NC State, the latter just loves to wreck FSU physically and figuratively.

Agree with SB. Clemson will be a very telling game. First team with equal or better talent.

Bomb, Which teams units would you choose Canes vs FSU of the ones I listed? Maybe fumbles Oleary their TE over Walford and the other Cane TE's?

I think they'll lose to Clemson, but FSU is a very good team. I don't care how overrated Maryland was(they were), they pushed them around like they were Savannah State.

We can beat them but you see how a qb changes everytbhing. Fkin guys on here said TEs go to fsu to die but N Oleary saved himself with Gayness Winston. Its not about a certain school kill certain positions, its who u surround them with. Example here is alot of people say Lane is going to suck at WR if he goes to Florida but thats with Driskell. If Greer is the real deal Lane will be a boss if not he will be a JAG. anyway my bad bout the off topic ****, to me fsu is still a lil bit ahead of us but now we can beat them IMO. I would expect us to lose that 1 game but win the ACC cuz Clemson doesnt scare me at all they have no D. If we beat FSU we have a big chance at a national title game. I dont have a prediction with the fsu game cuz i gotta see more, if we are to win that game Duke gotta run between the tackles like he did against GT.

FSU has not played a defense as talented or an offense as deep as Miami's.

Miami has not played against QB/WRs as good as Winston & Co.

Can't really compare them objectively.

I think this post should be printed out and put inside The Big Book of Homers Vol 2

Rivalry game. Lots of talent on the filed. Most likely a night game in Tally. Have to get off to a good start and we HAVE to protect the **** ball. Will be a toughy but we can win the game.

I'll say this much: Winston is in for a long night. Unless Clemple gives him ****, he will have had zero experience in facing adversity. It will be a rude awakening for him when he's getting hit on all those short passes he completes all game. After he gets jarred around some, he'll toss a floater into the hands of Jenkins or Scaryman.

FSU is a really good team, maybe a little better than last year. We are a **** of a lot better than last year, and most importantly was actually have a defense this year. We have pass rush and actual DTs this year. They mostly have Winston. We put enough helmets on him in the first half and we will own the 4th quarter just like we always did, especially against WIDE RIGHT. This is Miami/ FSU guys, and it could mean a NC. We all knows what happens in games like that. In case you have forgotten, the particulars change but we win and they cry like babies.

That DE from Clemson is going to give them some problems... It will be a little glimpse as to what our pass rush verses their OL will look like.

Here's the thing, to beat this FSU team, Miami has to be **** near perfect. No turnovers. None. Must score with every drive. Our Dline and the pressure they get on Winston will be the key.

Would any fan on this board take FSU team position units over the Canes position units? To the poster who said i liked fumbles Oleary over Walford and our other two TEs i was being sarcastic.
