FSU has not played a team this season that is close to them in talent and speed. None of the teams they have played have had the ability to even test them. Boston College scored in the 30s against their defense and they are no better than average on offense. It will be interesting to see FSU play Clemson because it will be the first time FSU has even played a talented team. I've listened to a lot of Noles and it's the same old crap, they think no one can beat them.
I was thinking about the talent at positions for both teams and I would not trade OL, WR, RB, TE, punter, DE, LB, CB, or safeties with FSU. Think about the depth and talent on the OL. Morris has been playing hurt and no one is getting a lot of pressure on him. He's right there to be had and is not getting hit often. FSU QB is having to scramble for his life. He's making plays but he's getting pressured. Having watched most of the FSU games, they do not get pressure with their DEs. They miss those DEs who went to the NFL.
If FSU does not get pressure they will not be able to stop Miami's offense.
The Canes have the ability to stretch the Noles on defense with outstanding WR play, talented TEs who size and speed can create mismatches and don't forget Duke. The Noles have good RBs but they don't have anyone like Duke. When you throw in Gus, Crawford and Hagens @ FB I like the unit better than FSUs.
At LB, I would not trade Perryman for any Nole LB, he is a tackling machine. I think LB is one of the strengths of this team. I could go on and on but I think you see at the top of my post the positions I think are better than FSU. QB I did not list but my thoughts are; Morris threw for 3500yds last year and has won big games. Florida would be the best example. Winston for FSU has not had that big test but is coming against Clemson in a couple of weeks. I like the kid's poise so far but Morris is much more proven. I did give FSU the edge at DT.
I'm interested in your thoughts and opinions.
